He chuckled softly as he tilted his head slightly. “Isn’t that how friends are supposed to be?” He asked as he leaned back in the booth. “What’s wrong with your friend trying to find you a date? Or does she choose all the wrong men for you?” He just smiled at her as he considered that particular aspect. Oh, this vessel had all sorts of chances to find the wrong women. His career pretty much guaranteed it.
He watched her reactions, and even Samuel could recognize the look, and the reactions. It helped that he knew there was another presence there, but the random moments of blankness and distractedness, there was something going on in her mind. He was silent for a moment himself before he gave a slow nod of his head. “I have been in the museum a time or two, though I rarely have time to stay there for long. Maybe that is it.”
“Samuel Mondschein.” He said as he tilted his head slightly. His eyes rested on hers for a long moment before his lips pursed together. In that moment, their coffees would be delivered with everything they had asked for, and he nodded once to the waitress. He took a long slow sip of his drink, before his attention shifted back toward her again and he gave her a long slow smile. “Though, I think we both know that isn’t the name you’re looking for right now. It would be polite to give your own name before demanding it of another.”
