The smile became brighter and Ma'at had to resist the urge to move to the other side of the table. She realized she had missed her own peers, the members of her own pantheon who she had lived beside and fought with. Even after a millenia with him, she felt almost giddy at the sight of him and had to shush Lucia who was a bit smirky at the reaction. Ma'at considered Thoth her family, one of the few gods who she had let close enough to occupy her bed. Despite Lucia's aversion to sexual activity, Ma'at was very pleased at the new development. "But for me, you know you have the answers. I am always curious, just not always so circumspect. Direct is easier."
"Thoth." She purred. "I wondered when I would see you. I have been searching for others. My vessel took a job at the Museum of Natural History so we could watch the Egyptian exhibits." She let her gaze wander over his vessel with appreciation. "We are forced to occupy mortals, at least they are mostly acceptable."
The coffee was forgotten and she refused to let go of the hold on his hand. "What of the others? Have you been able to find them?" She had questions. He had knowledge, it was the way it had always been.
