Louis shoved the little handheld device he now carried into his pocket, walking briskly down the sidewalk on his way to the manor. His mind raced with uncertainty and concern. Lestat might be a weeping mess on the floor right now, or worse if he sensed the identity of this new arrival. As for the arrival herself, with the rather hostile words she had typed to him, Louis wouldn't be surprised if her plan was to attempt to kill him on the spot. He only knew that he had to do something to preserve the lives and sanity of all involved, even if he had to fight for it. Maybe he could finally redeem himself for leaving his maker to fend for himself during his brief taste of mortality at the hands of the body thief.
The manor loomed ever closer and soon enough, he stood at the doorstep, no way to prepare himself for what was about to happen. Waiting wouldn't help the situation or calm his nerves, so he opened the door and stepped inside, purposefully allowing his footsteps to be heard as if they were those of a mortal. The heavy door clicked shut behind him and he moved into the middle of the room, calling softly, "Nicki..?" The decision had been made that he would let her come to him when he arrived, to put her as much at ease as was possible. In an effort to seem as non-threatening as possible, he held his arms behind his back and faced toward the front door, waiting for the fellow vampire to show herself.
