Redux: an AU Harry Potter RPG

So as some of you might know already, when I get bored I make crackship gifs. I've got quite a collection by now so I thought 'wouldn't it be fun if other people did it too'? It might legit not be fun for you, but hey, there's always giving it a go. Also, I am open to suggestions! I find the gif making really quite addictive. SO YEAH.

The point of this post is so people can comment with their own or ask for someone to make some for them or SOMETHING. Anything, really.

I use Ezgif to make them and basically it's super simple: find two gifs you want to merge, upload them, let the website resize them and voila! (Sometimes it might help to make them both black-and-white or sepia just to make it look smoother.)

Hey all, I hate having to write this - but I am going to be staying low profile a bit longer.

Real life has imploded in ways I couldn't foresee last month and my stress level is through the roof. I am still here modding with Erin. I am still on AIM (in my office) and available via email. If you want or need me for anything - please don't hesitate to reach out.

I am HOPING that a huge portion of this drama will be wrapped up pretty soon and if that is the case - I will be less on edge. But I don't know just how long that is going to take. So....


For now I am REALLY sorry. I know I haven't been the most epic of late. I know I have prolly dropped some balls with all the extras I have been juggling. And for that I am sorry. Super sorry - and to anyone I have disappointed. I am sorry.

I made a dude. He's a good dude. Nice guy. Trains aurors. He has no classmates, and he was a sixth year prefect when the Marauders were ickle firsties.

Joseph Proudfoot is the adoptive father of Roderick and the soon-to-be Sasha Proudfoot. There's one more son. Joe adopted the kids after the first war because his wife, a fellow auror, was killed, and there was a hole in his heart that needed to be filled. He needed to live life in a way that made him worthy of her. He loves his kids. He will do anything for them. He's just a good guy with a big heart, and he hates being disappointed. Hello, lovelies!

Crystal here with another fun one. This is Siobhan Vaisey. She's a cousin to the Flints — their mother is her father's sister — and she is also related to the Changs on her mother's side of the family. She's a former ballerina and she currently works at St. Mungo's as a healer in the artefact accidents ward. She is a Ravenclaw and wants all the friends that she can possibly have. Just a little note to let you all know that there is a hurricane blowing my way. I am not sure if it'll knock out my power or not, but if it does, I may be slightly MIA for a little while. If I disappear, this is the reason for that.

Hello! It has finally happened. Lindsey gave in to the enable cannon and has picked up a second character. Please bear with me for a while. It's been ages since I played two characters at once!

This is Elise Kirke she is 18 and just graduated from Hogwarts in May. So she was in Slytherin from 1995-2002. She was a prefect fifth through seventh years and she also participated in Charms and Dueling Club. She is about to start her first year at Merlin's College to study Public Relations and she also is an intern at The Daily Prophet.

She lives in Godric's Hallow in a flat with her half-brother, Byron Farro who is her favorite person in the world. Elise is much more sociable than her brother but she doesn't hold his shyness against him. She has another half-brother, Andrew Kirke, but none of them are aware of that as of yet. Drama alert!

Elise will talk to anyone at least once to give them a chance and then decide if you are worthwhile to keep in contact with. She considers herself to have very few friends but many many acquaintances. If she feels you were help her to better herself in either her personal or professional life she will keep you around. She loves to go out for a fun night so people may have seen her out and about.

She loves following Quidditch and any sort of entertainment celebrities as she eventually wants to get into that world and rub elbows with them all. Elise has a very unhealthy crush on Remus Lupin and has always been attracted to guys older than her (think around five years old or more). Although now that she is out in the real world she's excited to test that theory out.

On a personal note: I almost have all of my stuff in my new place, which means unpacking is next. It also, hopefully, means that 8 PM bedtimes will no longer be a thing.

Hi team,

If you direct your attention to the main landing page for the game, you'll spot two new tags under "members". One is for the Quidditch tag, so you'll be able to easily find all of our updates on the matches and scores. The next is a Thread Tracker (simply "tracker" on the landing page for the sake of spacing). Clem approached us this morning with a new idea to have a thread tracker for the game. One post where everyone can comment with Who, What, When, and a link to the thread so players who do so can simply track one post rather than all the posts.

We went a step further and created the table with who, what, status, and date. Please go through them and make sure we have the statuses (either ongoing or complete) correct. There are some where this isn't labeled, and it's hard to tell.

We have also renamed "Resources" under "OOC" as "Credits" since this is a list of places where the codes for the game were found.

Let us know if you have any questions about the thread tracker!

Hello all! So, I've relinquished Gilderoy (though I will still be running Lonely Hearts through the NPC account) and picked up someone even better: Gladys Talbot.

Highlights:

- Nearly 90!
- Owns a chain of three sex shops called Timeless Pleasures, very well established, very well thought of. (Branches in magical Edinburgh, Cheltenham and Cork.)
- Grandmother to Gemma and Terence.
- Owns a talking parrot called Dennis.

Connections:

Gladys is too old, and didn't go to Hogwarts, so the only people she's likely to know already are her family (Higgs and Gemma) and any Timeless Pleasures customers (Lydia, George, Ginny, others?). HOWEVER, she loves people and she wants to know everyone so she's going to be doing a lot of commenting on journals.

Hey Everyone! This is Meg and I just had to post something up here so no one is wondering where Meg is.

I am currently in the midst of straightening out a hot mess that I inherited with my son’s show choir where I was elected to be the Parent Coordinator, heading into popcorn season with his Boy Scout troop as the secretary for the Parent Committee, I have classes starting up soon - oh and my son is a freshman in high school - who is also choosing to audition for Honor Choir. Because why not! None of which any of you need to care or worry about - just trying to explain the 'why' a bit more.

For this reason - I may not be in group chat as much - I will still be in my office though. I may be a bit frazzled and slightly forgetful - please understand - it’s not that I don’t want to remember all the things - it’s that my brain is a swirling mess. So be kind and remind me?

That being said - Quidditch scores are coming, and I am making sure to talk with Erin when we both have time for apps and the like. I know Erin is slammed with moving and not being in her own space and it’s lead to a perfect storm of insanity. I am so sorry this is all happening at the same time. And I cannot thank you all enough for your patience with us as we try to adult.

I know that there have been offers to help- and if the water gets over our heads (or close to it) we will be throwing things at you all that have offered for help.

so some of you are already aware of this, having been in group chat at the time, but just so it goes out to everyone i'm posting here so none of you end up going 'wtf?'.

i'll be changing Draco Malfoy's PB from Bradley James to Alex Pettyfer.

i like Bradley and i've loved using his face for Draco but it wasn't always felt like the right fit. i don't know if the change will kick up the amount of activity but I think the change will be good in terms of creativity etc.

so that's the news.
