Redux: an AU Harry Potter RPG

I'm sorry to say I must resume my hiatus. My internet is acting up again, and it will probably only get back to normal in January. I'll try to stay in touch and do hiatus breaks until then through comments and/or posts, but this computer I'm currently using for this announcement is old and moody, with a tendency to freeze at the worst moments (not to mention I'll be sharing it with two teenage girls who tend to get violent when cut off from facebook) and change the spelling of words to Portuguese while I type, so I can't make any promises.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope I'll be around more come 2017. Love you all!

I'm back from my hiatus! Alas, on top of the issues I had mentioned before, I also became internet-less for the rest of the month shortly afterwards, which sucked. But now it's back, and things seem a little easier now - though I now find myself having 7-hour-long Spanish classes on a regular occasion.

Anyway, is there anything important I have missed? Anything Luna or Miles should be aware of/involved with?

As some of you know, RL has been rather chaotic for me of late. I tried to make sure it didn't interfere too much with my RPing, but it has become increasingly difficult these past few weeks. And now that my friendly employment centre is forcing me to attend a new training course, I'm seeing my already limited time become even more limited still.

As a result, I feel I should take a small hiatus - hopefully very soon the family troubles plaguing me will have been solved, and I'll have adjusted to the rhythm of this course.

Patricia (Miles & Luna)

Hi guys, Patricia here with character #2, a certain Miss Luna Lovegood! I'm sure the name will sound familiar...

Luna is... Luna. There's no better way of describing her. She marches to the beat of her own drum, and will share unusual ideas and uncomfortable truths with equal ease. She never became part of the Extended Trio or the DA (and never painted that awesome mural in her bedroom), but is still working as a Magizoologist, travelling around the world, studying existing creatures and searching for imaginary still undiscovered ones. You can expect posts about costumes and traditions about the places she visits, anecdotes about eating roasted lizard, or lengthy odes about leaves found of the dusty floor. With Luna, everything is possible. Also, she's now a published author, though her work was probably only read by fellow naturalists.

So... possible contacts? As mentioned above, her circle of friends at school was much smaller, but there were a few people who were kind to her (Ginny?), which she saw as almost the same as having friends (oh, Luna...).

Hello everybody! I'm Patricia, and I'm very excited to be here! Some of you already know me (and my boy) and are probably backing away in fear of the oncoming glompage. :D

Anyway, this here is Miles Bletchley, Slytherin 1989-1996, who played Keeper for his house from his third year onwards, and who is now playing professionally for the Appleby Arrows (reserve since he left school, team Keeper since '99). He's the first Slytherin in a family known for producing only Ravenclaws (I like to joke about the Bletchleys being direct descendants of Rowena Ravenclaw, but have never made it an official plot thing), and in spite being the green sheep of the family he still displayed a strong 'Claw side as a student, though he eventually preferred to focus on Quidditch rather than books.



Well, what else can I say about Miley? There's a pretty good chance your characters will find him annoying, and he's pretty okay with that. He's got a quirky sense of humour and loves to get reactions out of people. There's a pretty good chance he calls you by a nickname and that he'll try to rile you up. That said, he's a pretty loyal friend if you give him a chance, and a really good boyfriend - he's currently single, but has dated in the past and remains good friends with his exes. He was born and raised in Upper Flagley, Yorkshire, where he still lives - he's got his own cottage, and is looking for a housemate.

Oh, and he's got a pet garden gnome who likes to wear dolls' clothes and answers to the name of Tibbles. Don't ask.

Soooo, friends? Enemies? People who tolerate him? Ex-girlfriends? GIMME PLOTS!
