Redux: an AU Harry Potter RPG

Hey everyone! It's Joan, not with a new character but a rebooted Boot boy!

Terry Boot has gotten a new face, a different personality, and a new job. He's still an Irish boy who was in Ravenclaw and lived with Lisa Turpin's family after his single mother abandoned him. So he's still got major issues in his history, and he's still a little shy.

BUT the main changes (other than a dapper new PB) is that he's not also the head writer and host for a comedy news program over at WIZROQ. Less Colbert or Stewart, more John Oliver. While on air, Mr. Boot is totally professional and outgoing, but the moment he's off the air he turns back into marshmallow shy boy all over again. Due to his public persona, Terry is 100% totally out of closet. His politics are very liberal.

Terry is also the unknowing half brother to Pip Troy, which I'm sure he'll figure out at some point.

It's Joan with not one, but two ladies.



First up, PJ Weasley. Keyboardist for Quake, mother of an adorable toddler, Gryffindor alumni, general badass... and married to Percy Weasley. Yup. PJ is super outgoing, super blunt, and the member of Quake who makes sure the band is at the right location at the right time. She and Percy live next door to the band's house, and PJ has the joy of getting to be a full time musician due to Percy's sacrifices. Which is why she won't hear a word against the man. She's an easy friend to make, and pretty damn loyal.

Fun fact, Percy had no idea that PJ was a bonafide rockstar until he brought her home to the family and a sibling (Ginny) burst his little ignorance bubble.



And here, a woman who needs no introduction, but I'm giving her one anyways. Molly freaking Weasley. Molly is just getting home from a few weeks trip to France and forgot to pack her journal before going there, so she has no idea what is going on with her kids. She's still clucky as hell, adopts all her kids's friends, and is starting to explore the idea of putting some writing out for publishing (she was a journalist before she ever had kids, after all). Molly is dealing with the pain of feeling irrelevant in the lives of her children, and desperately wants to be needed and wanted.

Also, Charlie dear- please just promise that you and Oliver would consider adoption. Your heart is big enough for it.

Daphne Greengrass is here! She's from the trio's year, and was a Slytherin. For most of her school years she was quiet and tried to have some semblance of being girly and sweet. She was on the quidditch team, and after years of being put down for being a girl on the team, she finally exploded and became the quick to anger, aggressive, and obsessed with outdoing everyone else. She's on Puddlemere's team now, and outside of quidditch is mostly concerned with her sister and her friends.

Daphne is also deeply closeted. She had a grand love story with Tracey once, but dropped her like a hot potato to try and be straight after school.

She needs everything! Friends, enemies, dudes she's attempted dating.

Much more amazing, I have these two kids who got accepted.

First is Kingsley! He's an auror and widower, with two kids (open!). He cares about his job and is starting to look at politics and the way life is general run in wizarding England. He and his wife (Caradoc's sister, btw) were in the Order, something he's not overly secretive about at all. He lives in Godric's Hollow, and tends to stick to work, his friends, and his kids. That being said, he needs friends and coworkers! Maybe some people who were friends of his late wife (who was a Prophet writer) as well.

Secondly I have Terry Boot, he's at priggishly. Terry is an Irish native who was "adopted" by Lisa Turpin's family after his mother abandoned him during his Hogwarts years. He works in the magical library where he is not only a librarian, but also repairs the books. Still living with Lisa, Terry is quiet and a bookworm, but enjoys pub quizzes and his friends. As of 2001, he's about 70% out of the closet. He needs everything!
