Redux: an AU Harry Potter RPG

So as some of you might know already, when I get bored I make crackship gifs. I've got quite a collection by now so I thought 'wouldn't it be fun if other people did it too'? It might legit not be fun for you, but hey, there's always giving it a go. Also, I am open to suggestions! I find the gif making really quite addictive. SO YEAH.

The point of this post is so people can comment with their own or ask for someone to make some for them or SOMETHING. Anything, really.

I use Ezgif to make them and basically it's super simple: find two gifs you want to merge, upload them, let the website resize them and voila! (Sometimes it might help to make them both black-and-white or sepia just to make it look smoother.)

Hello! It is I, Ally, with another male character! Because, you know, who doesn't love men? Idk. Anyway, please meet Byron Farro. Some bits and pieces:

Slytherin, class of '95.(Same year as Rufio, Bethanie, Rosa, Toby, Ric and Arran.)

Plays keyboard in Toby's band (which Crystal and I have named Unspoken Enlightenment, you're welcome).

Suffers from a lot of social anxiety when it comes to talking, so... he doesn't? It takes a really long time to get Byron to get to talk, so he has approximately 2.5 friends :/ Poor bb.

Is Andrew's step-brother but neither of them know this, so that's fun!

So yeah! Idk about 'friends' because Byron's rubbish at talking to people but I imagine a fair few people might know him as a friend of a friend or something.

Erin M's many a placeholder has reminded me of the plan Erin H came up with in order to track them. Since obviously not everyone was in the chat when this plan was hatched (because some of you have jobs? and sleep?), I thought I'll post it here for everyone to appreciate her genius.

If you comment on your finished thread when you update it from its 'placeholder' status, then anyone who has tracked it can then go and read it! I've started just commenting with 'completed!' on mine and deleting the comment afterwards (for tidiness purposes!). This means anyone who would like to read it will know it's done!

Hello, hello! It is I, Ally, and I bring a new male character! Isn't this exciting? Meet Roger Davies! His profile is here if you're super interested, but here's the run down:

Second son in a rather purist family (totally the spare!). His mum died when he was 5 and his daddy didn't really care, so Roger was mostly raised by nannies.

Ravenclaw, class of '96 (same year as the Weasley twins).

Was Ravenclaw Chaser for aaaaages (in this game, he never made captain).

Serial dater. Roger loves dating but is a really, really bad boyfriend, because he doesn't really know how to deal with emotions (his own or other's). Short term girlfriends of the past welcome!

Works a job in the Ministry that he is under-qualified for and that daddy got him. Is utter shite at it.

Hi, hi! I know you are all devastated to see Zac go, such a beloved character, such a good friend to everyone but he is replaced by Hermione! And who doesn't love bossy-pants Hermione, eh? EH?

So you can read her extensive history here. It's 18 paragraphs, so like, don't feel obliged to. Especially since I will kindly sum it up for you:

Muggleborn, obvs. Grew up being read fairytales and developed a massive love for magic at a very young age. Started practising magic years before her Hogwarts letter arrived (was successful like once).

Became best friends with Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom in her First Year, tutored them throughout school.

Was given a Time Turner in her Third Year and never had a reason to give it up. Thus studied a lot a lot. Hermione graduated Hogwarts with the best results in the school's history. She is stupid good at magic. Partially because of studying and partially because her obsession with magic would give Arthur Weasley's obsession with Muggles a pretty good run for its money (and probably win).

Dated Harry for five months towards the end of her Sixth Year. It wasn't very eventful. They're still bffs.

Is working as a lowly clerk at the Wizengamot but is being considered for a job in the Department of Mysteries (but shhhh, she doesn't know).

Looooooooooooooves giving people advice. Also loves bossing people around. For she is Hermione.

OH HELLO. It is I, Ally, again. I bring you Jun Dorney! Here's some info about her:

Slytherin, same school year as Pippa, Lydia, Gemma, Oliver, Lottie and Percy! (1987-1994)

Deaf since birth. Jun is mostly deaf, since she still can pick out some noises, but she isn't able to hear people talking. She signs when she speaks but she does also speak almost always. In terms of OC, when her dialogue is written normally, please presume that Jun both signs and speaks, if it is written only in italics she signs only.

Owns an art shop in Knockturn Alley called Picture Perfect. Does custom paintings, sells art supplies and forges art.

Had a baby with ex-boyfriend Cedric Diggory born 1st Jan this year.

Is very extrovert and chatty!

Muggleborn from a very posh family (the Astors), like so posh she has more money than Zac and Zac is really sad about this.

Ravenclaw in Charlie's year (to join Iona, Ashleigh and Briana in that year's dorms in Raveclaw ;) ).

Has played the violin in Quake for the past two years, before that she was the No.2 1st violin for the Philharmonia Orchestra, so like, she plays the violin really well. She also is a little bit in love with her violin.

Can come across as rather cold because she's been raised that way. She isn't actually a bitch, just really posh :/

Is like the most unlikely rockstar ever and doesn't really know what to do with that lifestyle (she's literally too posh to be a rockstar). But she does love music, like a lot.

Hello, hello, it's Ally again! And today I bring you Zacharias Smith! Your characters will hate him!

So Zac is basically a horrible, horrible person. He likes money and that's about it. Well, he also likes being mean to people and intentionally hurting them (emotionally, but given the chance probably also physically). He was a massive bully when he was in school and wouldn't even try to be nice. He doesn't rate nice very highly.

Whilst Zac wouldn't describe them as friends, he does have some former Hufflepuffs who put up with him he puts up with. They have mostly come to tolerate Zac despite what a massive asshole he is. However, if you need someone who your character absolutely despises? Zac's your man.

He works as an investment banker for Gringott's and has more money than any 22 year old should ever be allowed.

So yeah. Zac!

Hola! I'm Ally (again) and I bring you Evan Potter! He is the youngest of the Potter children (by six minutes) and is wonderfully unconcerned by most things. Evan's at uni, studying magical architecture, and he also works part time in Sirius Black's pub (which I still don't know the name of). He lives with both of his siblings and is prone to getting bored easily. He's very clever but also a bit of a slacker in all ways but studying.

Hello! I'm Ally and I bring you Oliver Wood! Oliver is as Quidditch obsessed as ever, don't worry ;) He plays Keep for Puddlemere and is currently being considered for a Captaincy. He is also in the running for the Scottish National Team for the upcoming world cup. Oliver is reasonably well known by gossip papers for his tendency to have one night stands with Quidditch players. Closest he can get to having sex with Quidditch itself ;)
