As of the morning of November 10th, there have been five noted deaths, (and a sixth as yet unreported one). The known victims are Dmitri Zurlo, Harry Potter, Isaiah Smith, Rosalind Bungs, and John Davis. (The death of Lloyd Clearwater has not yet been revealed to the DMLE)
Most of these victims have had some friend or family member claim they had been suffering from nightmares as well as having a dark spot somewhere on their person. None of these spots were visible during autopsies. The murders are all still being treated as connected. As the connection between spots, nightmares, and murders is now clearer, anyone with marks are urged to come forward to speak to a DMLE official.
Following up on the theory of Zurlo having broken into the ministry for the box, Voldermort's collection was inventoried. It was found that a mask was also missing. The exact nature of this mask is as yet unknown, and it is uncertain when exactly it went missing.
The DMLE was also informed that Kingsley Shacklebolt would be releasing an official statement either later today or tomorrow, once he returns from a scheduled trip to Azkaban to investigate reports of various prisoners also suffering from the nightmares.

Summary: Ron goes to Obscurus Books to talk to Penelope about her dead brother but does not find her.
( He just hoped that he could do this because maybe this would be what proved that he could actually make it without Harry being there and that scared him because if he mucked it up, didn't that prove he wasn't worth a damn without him? )
