Daughter of an Australian media mogul and his Aboriginal wife, Monet was the veritable spoiled rich brat and enfant terrible. Expelled from a number of private schools, she was eventually sent to Xavier’s, where she discovered there was more to the world than just enjoying herself. She joined the NGO Elpis and later became an X-Man, inititially out of boredom but remaining out of a growing sense of altruism. Following an incident where her estranged brother tried to steal her brain with his powers, Monet found herself dealing with being less than perfect for the first time in her life as she coped with brain damage in the aftermath. In 2012 she returned to Australia to work for her father following a rowdy break up with then-boyfriend Kurt Sefton.

Powers: Shapeshifter - wolf.

Rahne Sinclair A quiet, mild-mannered girl, Rahne was adopted and raised by the strict and hard Reverend Craig. She manifested during the Great Mutant Headache of X2, turning into her full wolf shape and being denounced as a demon by the denizens of the remote Scottish village in which she lived. Moira MacTaggart rescued her and arranged for her to come to Xavier's, where over the next five years she learned to control her shapeshifting, achieving a transitionary state, as well as becoming more comfortable with her wolf form. Having joined Elpis., in September 2008 she transferred to the Tel Aviv office to pursue her studies and found there a 'pack' that filled the long-empty gap created by her sojourn in Asgard and the loss of her only love, Prince Hrimhari.

Powers: Absorption of radiation and redirection as plasma bursts.

Alex Summers, younger brother of Scott, is the quintessential surfer dude, raised on Hawaii. A student of the school since 2003, he remained as a teacher, embroiled in on-again, off-again relationships with the older Lorna Dane and the closeted Shiro Yoshida. In 2008 he joined the X-Men, finally free of the Boy Hostage mantle which had dogged his student years.

In July 2009, Alex returned to Hawaii, to continue his geological studies with a working summer course, living with his long-time friend Jared; his place at the Institute - and the X-Men - is always available for him.

Cecilia Reyes, a medical student at Columbia University, she was forced to leave there and come to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters after being outed as a mutant in the wake of the massacre there. Pragmatic and driven by her lifelong goal to become a doctor, Cecilia found the madness of the school difficult to deal with. She developed a close friendship with Xi'an Coy Manh, the librarian, and with the other doctors, but her world view was shattered with the hatching of Lockheed the dragon from an egg brought back from Asgard. Unable to deal with such affronts to reality as she knew it, Cecilia moved into an apartment in nearby Salem Center and continued her studies, although her lack of focus on developing control of the forcefield she can project may one day come back to haunt her.

A DESPERATE WISH It was a battle like any other. A fight they had fought for so long. The Brotherhood, run up against the X-Men. One trying to stop humanity's destruction of their own kind, one trying to protect all of mankind. Human and mutant alike. There were injuries, and there was fatigue. It was a parting shot, and still no one knows who took it. All they know is time, slowed. Pietro, known for his speed, had stopped. Somehow been hit and fallen. His sister, Wanda, turned and seeing his limp form, eye staring blankly at the sky, screamed enraged. She threw herself, and her powers, over his body, a silent plea for help, any sort of help. Her powers of reality manipulation pushed to their breaking and she too went limp. But not before the world shimmered, and changed. Our reality, absorbed, absorbing another. Heroes and villains alike felt the odd shift, but none know exactly what has happened. Only that fallen comrades have returned. Loved ones, once thought lost, brought back, and new heroes, new enemies, emerged. The worlds of Marvel and D/C have joined. A wish for time to go back, for youth to return, was taken literally. Now everyone is finding themselves in a merged world, one where they have somehow gotten younger. Their powers, their memories, are theirs, but now they seem to have more time. So do they trust each other? Or find a way to somehow separate their worlds once again? Knowing the consequences could be blinking out of existence all together. A MAGNIFICENT POWER

Mark Sheppard met the folks at the Snow Valley Memorial Center for Mutant Affairs when an investigation into the disappearances of young mutants led them to his nightclub, Silver. After assisting them discover what happened, he signed on and worked as SV’s receptionist, bringing a rather goofy and flamboyant humor to X-Force. A close call with a demon dimension nearly cost him his life, and in September 2009 he left the Snow Valley offices to better use his talents and contacts with the mutant underground.

Cessily Kincaid is composed of non-toxic mercury, with a tenuous grip on her powers and a tendency to turn into a puddle. Viewed as an faerie imposter by her parents when she manifested, she was kept in the house for months until eventually being sent to Xavier's. It was a place she felt more at home in, until the events of Day Zero traumatised her to the extent she was unable to retain her human form much. She was sent to Attilan's mutant school in October 2008 for further training in a calmer environment, with the option to return any time she wants.

PREMISE Charles Xavier has always been a man who has looked out for those who were, like himself, different. In a world where 'different' is automatically considered bad, he has tried to do what's best for humans. He has attempted to show them that the highly gifted and evolved individuals he works with aren't as terrible as the world makes them out to be. But despite his best efforts, the treatment towards those who were different never improved and eventually Xavier was forced to take action. Charles continued to aid the humans in their problems, always having his loyal X-Men around to help those in need and eventually created a school for the highly gifted youngsters that were just learning to wield and control their power. As the years progressed, the school became rather popular and in recent years, Charles has expanded his home to create a place for mutants of all ages. Aside from the school, he founded a town dedicated to everyone gifted, young or old. Although not everyone could attend the institute, they would still be able to learn from those around them. The town of Xavier opened early last year and it is slowly becoming more popular as the days pass. How will your character fit into this new world dedicated to them and their powers? Will they eventually turn to the darker side of their power? Henry - better known as Hank - McCoy was one of the school's original students, and left to form an illustrious career as a scientist. When an experiment went horribly wrong and accelerated his mutation, giving him the appearance of the Beast of his codename, Hank sank into depression, nearly killing himself on several occasions in attempts to find a cure. Eventually brought out of despair by his friends from the school, plus colleagues such as Moira MacTaggart, he resumed his career, returning periodically to the school to act as the mansion's inventor and doctor, as well as an X-Man. It was during one of these sojurns that he adopted the son of one of the students, Danielle Moonstar, fulfilling a life-long dream to become a father. With fellow doctor Madelyn Bartlet, he found love, and eventually the couple moved to Edinburgh to raise Billy in a safer environment and further their careers. Hank returned briefly in 2009, but again the conflict between family and duty left him torn. When Billy became seriously ill in 2012, he returned to Scotland.
