The Justice League. The Justice Society. The Teen Titans. The Birds of Prey. The Outsiders. The Lantern Corps. These are just a few of the individual teams who stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. They fight megalomaniacal dictators, would be world conquerors, aliens and anything else that threatens the world and innocents. DC Heroes is a roleplaying game that deals with heroes and villains in the entire DC Universe. While we gladly accept applications for JLA and JSA, we encourage applications for other characters off the beaten path. The DC Universe is a very big place and we would love to see characters from all aspects. |

Sidekickers! A DC/Marvel HS/College Game

The world is finally at peace... or is it? DC Universe 2390 is set in a timeline where DC and Marvel worlds are combined. Presently, in 2011, with all of the super hero teams in existence, the world is a safer, peaceful place. The Justice League has disbanded, and some of its leaders have returned to their original homelands, retired, or are now assisting at Brightwood Academy, a private school and home for many of the future’s up and coming heroes. Brightwood Academy is located in New York and teaches at high school and college levels. Students are encouraged to master general and specialized academics, as well as physical combat and strategy training until they are called upon by the world to become the heroes they've been waiting to be. That time is coming, much sooner than anyone imagined. |

WORST GOOD GUYS: a next-gen superhero RPG!

Over two decades ago something extraordinary happened: the world stopped needing to be saved. No death rays, no alien invasions, no rampaging evil robots tearing up NYC. More importantly, people stopped wanting to be saved. Overlooking adults in stretchy pants 'accidentally' destroying public property or leaving criminals beaten to a pulp on the streets didn't seem to be such a great idea after all. In the United States, lawsuits against caped crusaders surged until the government was finally forced to intervene. Through the government-funded MRP (Metahuman Rehabilitation Program), thousands of supers were shuffled into early retirement and hidden in witness protection programs. Armed with desk jobs and civilian identities, these aging heroes raised the next generation with the intention of building ordinary, anonymous lives for their children. Or as ordinary as some could ever hope for. Essex Academy: A Marvel/DC Crossover
When Doctor Nathaniel Essex discovered humanity’s undergoing mutation in 1859, he foresaw the coming of Homo superior—a new breed of man gifted with strange and fantastic abilities simply by virtue of their cellular makeup. His obsession with the human genome he called the "Essex Factors" led to the dissecting, alteration and unorthodox means of experimentations on mutants and humans alike in his laboratory hidden beneath the boarding school he founded; The Essex Academy for the Gifted. Following a mysterious fire in 1930, the school closed its doors permanently. Present Day: 2010 The newly reopened Essex Academy in upstate New York is emerging as one of the most prestigious and expensive private high schools in the country; the academy attracts those with great minds and great bank accounts alike. The school’s headmaster has also handpicked several superhumans to reside at the school as both students and faculty. A fact so secret, that even these individuals are completely unaware that others like themselves are roaming the same halls. Why the school's headmaster is so interested in this phenomenon, and his motive for training them has yet to be determined. ------------------------ Essex Academy is a Marvel/DC crossover rpg where superhuman beings are just beginning to emerge. There are no super teams, and both superheroes and villains exist as little more than urban legends. This isn’t a game of horny teenagers with hot pbs left to run wild all over campus. The moderators have created several plots involving the government and public reactions to superhumans, as well as exploring the deeper mysteries of the academy itself. Gotham by Night
The fall of Carmine Falcone and the defeat of the Scarecrow and his shadowy allies were supposed to save Gotham. The corruption and crime, poverty and fear, all were to become things of the past. After that momentous night when the Batman saved the city, the sun should have risen on a bright new day.
But the darkness and decay ran too deep.
The Narrows remains a wasteland slum of despair. Lunatics loosed from Arkham Asylum still roam free, preying on the unwary. War rages through the streets as gangsters battle over the shattered pieces of what was once the Falcone empire. And now those madmen and criminals are being joined by a new, more sinister breed, masked villains drawn to Gotham by the opportunities in the chaos and the challenge of the Batman.
But the Dark Knight inspires as well, and other masked vigilantes are rising up to join him in the fight for the city's soul while the citizens can only pray that the hour is not too late.
Welcome to Gotham, where sometimes the knights wear black, the dragons wear white, and between them fall a thousand shades of gray.

Past Fifteen years ago the Potters placed a Fidelius Charm upon their home, making Sirius Black their Secret Keeper. Lord Voldemort never discovered their location and feigned his retreat. Harry grew up in a loving home. Neville was not coddled but loved. Upon entering Hogwarts, Harry learned the world was not exactly as his parents and uncles had made it out to be. Neville was pleased that everything was what he had hoped for. Present When Bartemius Crouch Senior came into office he led the largest dark wizard hunt of the century. His nets caught the blundering and the stupid but allowed the slipperiest of the Dark Lord’s followers through, including his own son. Barty Crouch Junior, under the direction of his Lord, went on to work for his father at the Ministry. At the beginning of the present school year he was inducted as the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Future In 1995 the world is changing. It has become a place of tension and strife. The Ministry is rife with corruption. Death Eaters lie in wait for their Lord’s return. Their day is here and now. If the Order cannot handle it, if the Ministry is too subverted to control it, then what are the Prophesied Children to do? It is up to Harry and Neville to rise to the occasion, for the sake of the Wizarding World. |
