The world has been turned upside down. A magical catastrophe leaves the world populated only by magical peoples and creatures. Though, for some, this might have been a perfect situation -- no more Muggle problem -- witches and wizards are in danger, too.

The lingering magic has turned into deadly storms that bring death to anything or anyone magical caught in its grasp. Usually, you can see them coming, but it makes living on your own tough. Only in places under old, heavy magical protections do the survivors have a chance to build a new life in this new and dangerous world.
