Initium Novum

In the year 1970, Lord Voldemort returned to England with his sights on overthrowing the Ministry of Magic. His return sparked the formation of The Order of the Phoenix. Founded by the Head Master of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, the secret society was comprised of some of the most brilliant minds the wizarding world had to offer. These talented witches and wizards were hand selected by Dumbledore himself, but Lord Voldemort was not alone in his quest for pure-blood and wizarding supremacy. The Death Eaters, formerly the Knights of Walpurgis, were almost as infamous as their dark lord for the destruction and tragedy they left in their wake.

It is now the year 1977. The Ministry has held strong against Voldemort and his followers, and as a response he has personally begun to lead attacks on prominent wizarding families. In the beginning, they targeted muggle-borns, as well as sporadically setting their sights on large groups of muggles, but now it seems that no one is safe. Witches and wizards go off to work each day, wondering if their families will be next, terrified that they'll come home to find that ominous symbol in the skies over their home. His name is now only spoken in anxious whispers of "you-know-who." With the identities of his followers still almost entirely unknown, there is growing sense of distrust among people. At Hogwarts, the tensions are higher than ever between Slytherin and the other three houses. "Why shouldn't they be?" you might hear, after all, it's a well known fact what every young Slytherin aspires to be.

Fable 3

Title
Riveter’s Rest
Premise
Set after the events of The Crawler’s invasion of Albion, the Royal Family has been kept busy trying to salvage what’s left of the Kingdom. With the collapse of the economy even when Reaver had returned to his post at Reaver Industries after visiting the Shadow Court, the near decimation of Albion’s population, the work and living conditions worsening: Albion’s future is looking bleak.

Quality of life is at an all-time low. The constant string of attacks in Millfields, now overrun with Balverines, and crime runs rampant through Bowerstone Industrial’s streets. The new law of Prohibition may be introduced, which may only make things worse.

With no neighbours to rely on for help; Samarkand too far away, the troubled relationship with Aurora, and the near destruction of Mistpeak for resources has left the new Hero Queen with few allies.

We are currently working on the new DLC Traitor's Keep, figuring out what will be considered canon and what has to be edited because of LionHead retconning.

All good stories start with "once upon a time" and this one isn't so different. Once upon a time, Man and Dragon lived in harmony and shared the land freely. The near-immortal dragons watched generations of man cycle through their lives. They watched kingdoms rise and fall, and watched the development of villages into towns. They advised king and commoner alike. The world was at peace ...

... though peace never lasts long.

There were men and women of ambition, possessing a drive to better their world. They saw the dragons as the barrier keeping civilization from advancing beyond the current way of life. One magician in particular devoted himself to devising a way to remove the dragons from the world. He failed, but his daughter took up his cause after his death. She successfully imprisoned the dragons -- and was executed for her work.

Over the years, magic users of all sorts attempted to wake the dragons, but with no luck. Encouraged by the way the balance was tilting, other ambitious magic users sought to use the current state of affairs to advance their own agendas. One necromancer took it upon himself to attempt to raise an undead army to seize the throne. His plan was derailed and he was executed -- but it was enough for the King at the time to issue a decree making magic taboo. Magic users were driven underground, and those who would have been students of the magic school were forced to contend with their powers on their own.

Twenty-five years after the initial ban, the new King has decided to try to reverse the state of affairs. He has reopened the magical division of the Academy and encouraged magic users to once again reveal themselves and learn the art. The question remains ... is history bound to repeat itself?
