New York City is the largest metropolitan area in the United States, and a central hub for global commerce, finance, media, culture, education, and research. With an estimated 8.3 million in occupancy, nothing truly captures the essence of the Big Apple quite like it's the smallest and most urbanized borough, Manhattan. The island is home to the high society elites, vagabonds, students, trendsetters and mutants. The population of Manhattan's District X has the highest reported concentration of mutants according to the 2010 census, also known for being poor, overcrowded and violent, with a steadily climbing crime rate. During the ongoing struggle for mutant rights, the X-Men seek to protect and curb crime in District X, while other groups look to exploit and corrupt it's inhabitants. But don't quit your day job, whether you're a super hero or mutant terrorist, you still gotta pay the bills, go to school, and make ends meat. This is a "Real-Time", Day-In-The-Life RP loosely based off Earth-616 canon, centered around the mutant groups known as the Hellfire Club, Marauders, X-Men, Weapon X, Morlocks and Brotherhood. Whether it be for peace, destruction, power or profit, everybody wants to rule the world these days, and every faction (and every character) has their own motivations, missions, agendas, baggage and secrets they must overcome in order to get what they want.
