Party thread!
-Who: Everyone!
-What: Party time!
-When: Day 27, from 5 in the morning carrying on until 5 am the next day when everything will get cleaned up by the golems
-Where: Ballroom, club, bar, places around there
-Status: Complete
-Rating: Who knows! Could go from anywhere between G and R!

If one were to walk into the ballroom after 5 am, they would find brightly colored streamers hanging across the walls and from the ceiling. Confetti was constantly fluttering down from the ceiling, as if the tiny pieces were snow themselves. Tables had been set up along the wall with plates, silverware, and all sorts of food imaginable. The Planet had made sure to include everyone's favorite food on the menu. The dessert table was huge. There was also a drink table nearby, complete with a bar and a few golems manning it to monitor the intake of drinks as well as serve them up. The Planet seemed to be either apologizing for all the people missing or wanting the remaining people to get together and meet each other again.... or perhaps it was a little bit of both.

Elves don't sleep. Because of this, the blond prince had heard the sound of the note being placed on his door bright and early. He knew, of course, from prior experience that when he got to the door and had it open, whoever had placed the note would be long gone. That didn't stop him from trying. He mischieviously hoped that someday, he would be quick enough. Call it a challenge to himself, but of course, when he got there, it was as he expected. The creature was gone, and all that was left behind was a note.

Wait, that wasn't quite true, was it? There was something else here. He frowned and picked it up curiously. A book. Quite pretty, actually, done all in green leather with leaf patterns embossed on it. He flipped through the pages, and shrugged as he brought it inside. Setting the book aside for a moment, he picked up the note.

It was an invitation. He read it through, then laughed. A party! That would be great, and just the thing for taking his mind off his little romantic situation problem. Speaking of which, he really did have to decide what to do about that... strange, though, because he couldn't find either of them. He looked for many hours, Mirage not being that large, he covered everywhere. Neither of them was to be found. He could find their tracks well enough, but when it came down to it and he followed them, it seemed that the two of them just... vanished.

He wasn't cheerful now, which was unusual. He was watchful. As he looked around, he noticed something else, something very alarming. There were fewer people around. As he made his way to the rooms with the party in them, he became more and more sure. There were people left, but not nearly as many.

It was early when he got to the ballroom, and he was the first one here. He would wait, and see who was left. Maybe someone would be able to tell him what had happened to both of the men he loved. Until then, he picked up a glass of honey-wine and waited.

Illyana had been neglecting her spell-casting of late, so she'd been awake at whatever ungodly hour someone had attached the invitation to her door. She'd been working on her talisman, hoping to improve it, when she heard the footsteps in the hall that stopped in front of her door. She tensed, waiting to see if anyone would knock, and wondering who in the world would be visiting when it was still mostly dark outside. Then, the footsteps had gone on, leaving her more puzzled. She'd finished the spell she'd been working on, adding another layer of protection to the talisman, before rising from her place on the floor and going to the door to see if whoever it was had left a note.

The invitation and book surprised her. Well, not really the invitation - she'd seen little notes on other people's doors, inviting them to all sorts of wintry activities, but the book was new. It was very pretty, bound in red leather and with gold-leaf edges for the paper. And all the pages were blank. Maybe she'd use it for making notes on her spells. She had only managed to work through a small fraction of the pile of books Elminster had recommended.

The invitation, however, made her smile. She hadn't been social, exactly, since arriving, and the few people she had met, she hadn't seen in a while. The resort was as big as the Professor's mansion, however, so she wasn't exactly bothered by that. She could go for weeks without seeing some of the X-Men at home, and they'd still be in the house. It all depended on what time everyone did things. And Illyana had spent most of her time holed up in her room, or out by the woods, adding to the snowman army.

So, a little later, after she'd showered and dressed, she made her way over to the main building and to the ballroom. She had a feeling she'd be the only one there, but she decided that a breakfast of party food might raise her spirits a little. She decided to leave the in-progress talisman in her room, rather than wear it out. In its current state, it wasn't going to be reliable anyway. Today, she'd get to exercise her own willpower to keep from loosing a demon.

She stepped inside, and blinked as she realized she wasn't the first person to venture to the party. A very handsome man sipped at a glass of wine across the room. She didn't recognize him, but the delicately pointed ears triggered some sort of recognition, like she should know who he was. It was sort of like that woman in Kitty's new group, the one who dated Captain Britain. Illyana couldn't remember her name at the moment. She smiled at the young man and walked forward, glad she didn't have as much trouble talking to attractive men as her brother did to attractive women.

"Good morning!" she said as she approached. She offered her hand. "I don't believe I've seen you around before." She stopped a comfortable distance from him and offered her hand. "Illyana Rasputin," she said, "I'm pleased to meet you."

Legolas, being a tracker, kept his eyes open. And he noticed something that concerned him greatly. There were many people coming in now, and he'd seen nearly all of them around. There were also a couple of new faces that he resolved to meet as soon as possible. But the really odd thing was that there were so many faces he wasn't seeing.

Perhaps it was nothing, but he would expect some of the people he knew to be at this party already. The beautiful lady Giselle, for one thing. She never missed a social engagement. It was very out of character for her to not be here. What had happened to her, and why were there so many fewer people around?

For once, he stood back at watched. He was the sort of being that normally would have been right in the thick of things, introducing himself, making new friends. But he wanted to observe this more. Something wasn't quite right.

Still, when someone approached him, he wasn't able to simply ignore that. He might be impulsive sometimes, but he was never deliberately rude. He turned to her with a smile, glad that she'd taken the initiative to come over and greet him. "Greetings, Lady Illyana." He accepted her hand and shook it in th normal manner, and then greeted her in a way that was much more typical for Middle Earth. He bowed over her hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it.

"I am Legolas of Mirkwood. May the Valar smile on our meeting." He released her hand, noticed that Marcus had come in and was headed for them. He waved in greeting, but when a young woman came up to talk to his friend, he left them to it and turned his attention to the pretty blonde at his side.

"Do you know what has happened, my Lady? It seems to me that something must have. So many are not here."

Marcus had been mostly delighted to find the invitation posted on his door. Having taken part in a couple of the Planet's planned activities before this, he knew they could be fun, but he also knew he didn't really have a choice about whether or not to attend. This one sounded optional, but he figured he had better drop round anyway, just to be safe. Besides, it sounded like fun.

During breakfast, he got the distinct impression that the places he had been that day had not hardly the number of people they had had before. Had they all received a notice he hadn't? Now that wasn't fair! Or was it something more sinister?

It was in a mood such as that that Marcus showed up in the ballroom. Ready to party, yes, but also ready to get to the bottom of any mystery that might have arisen.

When he entered, he found the ballroom to be just as empty as the other places he had gone that day. In fact, the only people in sight were his friend Legolas and a young blonde woman. He made his way over towards them, grabbing a glass of punch on the way. They seemed to have initiated a conversation, and he waited for an appropriate moment to break in.

Her head was still reeling as she wandered around aimlessly. It was very hard to accept that she'd been taken away from a life filled with danger, purpose, and a journey. Now, she was supposed to relax, put that life behind her. Put her friends behind her. Put him behind her. How was that possible? She couldn't help but wonder if she had been poisoned by Sin's toxin, and this was all some sort of vision.

The one who had helped her, he was a strange one as well. She wasn't sure what to think of him yet. Everything really had yet to sink in. So she wandered around, but soon noticed something quite interesting. Many people were around, and most of them were heading in one direction. Since she had nothing better to do, she figured, why not follow?

It was a party. She could hear the music long before she got there. Curious now, she followed the sound. She pushed open the door, riding in on a wave of other party-goers, and looked around. Other than the bunch she'd come in with, there were only a few people here. Two of them appeared to be in conversation, so she approached the third tentatively.

"Excuse me, sir? I wonder if you could help me." She stood a short distance away, her hands folded demurely in front of her, and waited until she was sure she had his attention.

Marcus stood back and watched as Legolas did his best to charm the young woman he had met. Or was that a normal greeting where Legolas came from? If he did have amorous intentions, Marcus wondered why it wasn't a problem for him that she looked sixteen while the elf was over a thousand. Perhaps all elf-maids looked perpetually sixteen...

It was during these idle and somewhat aimless speculations that Marcus was interrupted by Yuna. He immediately turned his gaze away from the two blonds before him, and put his half-drunk glass of punch down on the table beside him. The girl before him, who looked older than sixteen, but only a touch, was standing very composedly, patiently awaiting his answer. Moved by the charm of her manners, Marcus felt a touch of chivalry coming on.

"Of course, my lady. Whatever you require."

So, he'd bopped up to his room for a tick. A tick that seemed like an eternity. He'd walked up and opened the door with the mild expectation of a room you could find in any corner of London for a hundred quid any night of the week, instead he'd been greeted with a glimpse of Gallifrey. That was just taking things to a level of personal that the Doctor hadn't seen since his last encounter with The Master.

So, he left the room without even bothering to change and headed on down to the party. He could hear it so it wasn't too hard to find. The room wasn't full, and that sort of made him a bit more cheerful - the Planet hadn't taken too many people, it seemed. He was looking around the room, trying to find one of those golems Andy had mentioned, looking a bit sour faced, really.

"Where are you?" He muttered, squinting in the dimmed lights.

Rose Tyler was never one to turn down a party. Of course, she had debated with the idea when she had arrived in her room, which seemed so perfect for her. Almost an exact replica of her room on the Tardis, only with small touches which were reminiscent of her room from the flat in the Powell Estates. She had sat on her bed for a while, looking around, wishing so hard that she could hear the hum of the TARDIS. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't. With much effort, she pushed herself from her bed and changed into a fresh pair of jeans and a new t-shirt, which seemed to have been left there. Well she had found out about this planet providing everything they'd need, and apparently clothes weren't an exception.

Arriving at the party, she took a moment to glance around at what had been provided, taking in her bearings so she knew where everything was. She continued looking about, hoping for a least one person she knew. Face after face gave her nothing. Until one. One face she had only dreamed of seeing again, and her feet began to move without her instructions, almost at a run. Before she knew it, her arms were flung around the Doctor's neck, as she clung to him tightly. She had a feeling he wouldn't realise it was her, after all she had moved so fast, but she didn't care. She had him back.

There it was! The Golem was manning the bar - what a strange little creature it was, made up of rock and dust. It didn't make too well at blending in as it clearly wasn't one of those who were abducted since everyone else seemed more or less human. Taking a step forward he was all set on his way to have a few words with the creature when like a truck to the gut he felt somebody wrap their arms around his neck and cling.

"Hey, eh... uh..." He was tugging, trying to get the persons grip loose. "You must have me..." He could tell immediately his clinger was a blonde girl. A blonde, Rose shaped girl. A blonde, Rose shaped girl who looked a lot like Rose.

"You sticking planet!" He growled, making a quick tug at the girl. "You look so very much like her," he said quite civilly, before taking a deep breath and trying to shake off the rage that was boiling in his gut. "Hello, uh, right.." He said to no one in particular.

"So, who's in charge then? Because if you're trying to make this place homey you really shouldn't materialize rooms that can't exist and people..." He paused looking tenderly at Rose, "Who can't really, either," he leant in, "Sorry, 'bout this, but you really can't be you... long story..."

It was still too early for George to be partying in that place, but she went anyway. She hadn't taken any chances at all when she was alive, and it took her nowhere fast - might as well start now. Plus, she'd soon need something to busy her mind before she started missing Mason and Rube, the Waffle Haus and maybe even - Like hell I'll let that happen!, she thought - Daisy.

She went into the Ballroom expecting noise and people and flashing lights, but not much of any of that was what she found instead. George hoped the place would fill up soon, what kind of a party would it be with three people besides herself?

George almost went over to the group of people, but then she stopped herself. Best to just stick to the punch and survey the room (the room, not the people since there weren't many) for a while.

Wrote in the journal? Check. Had another bongload? Check. Change of clothes? Check.

Andy asked the Planet for a pair of boots and figured, when he slipped them on, he could always take 'em off and leave 'em at the door in favor of his sneakers, but happily skip out on the wet socks and soggy jeans.

The Ballroom seemed to have the loudest music, at least from where he was standing outside building D, so he headed that way.

As soon as he made his way inside, he stopped, tugging off the boots and setting them off to the side as he slipped on his sneakers again and surveyed the room. Dude...dude...cute blond... He stood up straight again. Looks like Doc won't need me after all; he's got a hot blond of his own already... That was quick.

He made his way further inside and spotted a punch bowl, immediately thinking to himself how bad he'd like to spike it just for kicks. There was a cute girl over there and while normally Andy probably wouldn't have found her terribly approachable since she'd clearly gone out of her way to be away from everyone, Andy had a little help of the giggle weed, so as far as he was concerned, anyone was game.

Crossing the room, Andy ignored her at first - his attempt at being aloof and suave - as he got himself a glass of punch and then leaned against the table, surveying the room again. "Bit of a bust so far, huh? Think it'll pick up later?" he asked, finally looking over at her and offering a lopsided grin.

A skinny guy in a suit came in, followed by a blonde chick who pressed herself on him like they were two parts of the same person. George thought that, as usual, eveyone knew everyone else, except for her. Rolling her eyes she noticed yet another guy coming in and switching boots for sneakers - not weird or anything, could've been dancing shoes - and much to George's surprise, he seemed to be talking to her now.

She took her time to stare at the guy with no emotion at all, unsure of whether to send him packing or taking the opportunity to make a second acquaintance. Eh, might as well do the latter.

"Ah... Yeah. It probably will. I...guess." She said, still sort of emotionless. The guy seemed to be in high spirits, and god knew George needed a bit of cheering up right now.

Michiru was, in general a morning person, but not so much of one that she'd been awake when the invitation had been posted. Still she noticed it relatively early, but since there was no hint that this was a required event, she felt no pressure to rush on down. She was far more interested in the two books that had been left at the doorstep. One looked obviously to be intended for Haruka, so she left it on the desk. Instead she turned her attention to the one bound in sea green leather with silver leaf trim. The edges of the pages were silver as well, and the symbol for Neptune was emblazoned on the front cover in silver as well. She flipped through it and was happy to see the pages were blank and unlined. She could use it as a sketchbook as well as the journal the planet seemed to have intended.

All in all, it ended up being early afternoon before she and Haruka made it down to the party. Michiru's first impression was that it was a lot quieter than the last party. The music was still that slightly-too-loud generic 'party music', but there was definitely a lot of food of all kinds. She made her way over to the buffet and made up a plate, watching the room as she did so. There were people she didn't recognize and several she'd expected to see but didn't. What was going on?

The thud of the book being tossed onto the desk had woken Haruka up a bit earlier than she'd wanted or intended, but once Michiru had noticed her open, bleary eyes, she knew she couldn't go back to sleep. So, she'd dragged herself out of bed to see the book, which was mildly interesting. It was a mirror image of Michiru's, except tailored to her senshi color scheme and symbol. She had a feeling she wouldn't be using it much, no matter what the Planet's intent. Writing and sketching just weren't her things. She preferred more physically active hobbies.

The note Michiru had handed her was more interesting. It wasn't a summons, like some had received, but an invitation. While she wasn't one for parties, the last one had proven to be a good experience, mostly because she'd been able to find her Michiru. Perhaps this one would be good as well. Fortunately for her, Michiru didn't seem to be in a hurry to get to this party, so she had time for her morning run and such before she dressed for the occasion and escorted her lover down to the ballroom.

To Haruka's eyes, it seemed a lot like the last party. All the fixings were in place, but there seemed to be fewer people than last time. She looked around for the girl who'd helped her rescue Michiru earlier in their stay (A week ago? More than a week? Haruka had trouble keeping track of the time here.), but didn't see the brunette anywhere. She found that odd, for some reason, but shook her head and followed Michiru toward the buffet. She'd skipped lunch, since they were coming to the party so soon after the usual lunchtime, and she was feeling peckish.

"Not exactly large gathering, is it?" she remarked as she made herself a plate.

"No, no it isn't" Michiru commented. The last part had been much bigger. "Something is going on. I can feel it, and I have an idea that when I figure out what it is, we're not going to like it."

She gave Haruka a thin smile. "Still, this is a party. I suppose we should try to enjoy ourselves."

Violet had also found one of the notebooks as well but hers was in the style of an inventor's diary complete with her usual color style and matching black ribbon. "Curious, but I can not pass up a good mystery" as she quickly dressed and slipped her kit over one arm before heading downstairs to explore the party.

It had been an interesting few hours so far having played greeter for Miss Smith and trying to explain what exactly Mirage was. But she was hoping for a friendly face and maybe a fellow scientist to befriend. Of course Violet being Violet had several smaller inventions of her making in case anyone got curious, she loved to share her ideas after all.

After Al had found his room, he found an invitation to some party as well as a journal to write in in front of his door. At first, he'd spent time just checking out his room, which looked like the room he had had back before he and Ed had burned their house down and started on their journey. After awhile, though, he started to get bored and decided to check the place out. Might as well as see what was going on at the party.

Timidly, Al walked into the ballroom, sticking close to the walls and trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible. It was a good thing he didn't seem to stand out so much in his clothes, since not everyone was dressed in the same clothing style.

Finding a wall to lean against, Al relaxed and watched the people milling about.

Violet's eyes lit up when she spotted a boy about her age wander into the party. She could only hope he liked science as she wandered over and finally ask,"Just land here?" taking a decent guess since she had never seen him untill now. She had only her sprare notebook since the journal aka inventor's diary was still in her room, which looked like what she had in the family mansion before Count Olaf killed her parents in the fire and sent her and her brother and sister on the run.

Mostly because he was dead set on getting out of this place even if it killed him and perhaps partly because he thought he'd heard the Winchester name in another part of the complex, Dean listened in from the air vent above the room of the party. He figured if there was something of value taking place he could watch and maybe the demon or god or whatever that had dragged him here weeks ago would make an appearance seeing as a large group of the planet's inhabitants had suddenly just disappeared. Maybe he/she/it would come and apologize.

That's when he would spring the trap he'd carefully set. Well it wasn't so much a trap as it was him, crouched and set to spring himself. Down. Onto the slimey bastard keeping him here and away from saving innocent lives on earth.

He'd been around and around the perimeter so many times he couldn't count. Each time he found himself either on his butt on the dirt or just suddenly awakening back in his room. Not fun. It was like a time loop sometimes. Or it had been until people had started going missing. And now this party.

The blonde and the one he'd heard called "The Doctor" who was perpetually happy in his trainers were having a sappy reunion. Although he guessed perhaps he was simply jaded due to the events the night before he'd been so unceremoniously dumped naked on the sand in the middle of a storm here on this horrible place. Maybe he was jealous. He wouldn't dwell on it now.

That was when something skittered behind him in the air vent. Shifting slightly he tried to glance over his shoulder but his shirt snagged on the edge of the vent and suddenly he was falling. Straight through the ceiling into the party room and landing on the floor with a loud grunt.

It had been interesting, meeting and greeting the man she'd helped earlier today. She sort of fancied that she was getting quite good at the whole thing, really. She'd certainly done it enough. Of course, it was always hard to inform someone that they were stuck, but she did her best. The whole thing had been interesting enough, but she was glad to get back indoors. Her warmth charm was wearing off.

She'd gotten an invitation this morning as well, but she'd thought to head out before going to the party. After all, maybe Marcus would be there, and seeing him would throw her head into a weird space. Still, it seemed like a good time after she'd shown her new friend around, and she headed up to change into some party clothes. A short time later, decked out in short black skirt, purple leggings, and a pink shirt, she was ready to go. Her hair she was undecided about, but in the end decided to change to her favorite bright pink. It matched the shirt.

All set, she headed down to the party. It was hopping, and she felt a little flush warm her cheeks as she saw that Marcus was indeed there. Immediately she headed for him, but then there was a loud sound from above her head. She only just managed to scramble back in time to keep from being landed on. She looked over at Marcus, but a serious looking young lady was approaching him. And this guy had landed pretty hard. She would track Marcus down later. For now...

"Um... wotcher?" She squatted down and offered the man her hand to help him up. "I do that all the time, don't worry about it, really." And she did seem to spend more of her time tripping than standing upright, so the words held a ring of sincerity to them. "You okay down there?"

It was evening before Sarah Jane made her way down to the party. She'd spent the afternoon getting herself acquainted with her room, and figuring out the lay of the land, so to speak. She'd seen nothing out of the ordinary, except for the stone creatures that seemed to be the caretakers of this place. And, while they'd been helpful enough when she'd spoken to them, they didn't seem to have any real sort of intelligence. They were more like automatons, or very simple creatures.

She'd been skeptical of the party when she'd first seen the note. But, it would be a good way to meet the other inhabitants of this odd place, and perhaps pool resources and information. Surely with the combined talents of the people here, they'd be able to come up with something. So, she'd changed into something slightly more appropriate for a party, and headed over to the main building. As she entered the large room, she noticed Violet off talking to a blonde boy who looked about her age. She smiled at the girl, but didn't want to interrupt if she was talking to a friend. She'd made that mistake with Luke and Maria before, and didn't want to alienate the only friend she'd made so far. Instead, she wandered over toward the bar area, her gaze taking in the different faces of the people she passed.

Had he been surprised to see Sarah Jane Smith it was very possible he would have interrogated her in much the same way he had Rose. Fortunately, any level of question he had managed to have been erased by the notes she left in that journal of his.

"So, wondering which one of me I am, then?" He canted his head a bit, "Well, that just doesn't seem right." He was playfully barbing at her, of course. It was awfully odd finding both her and Rose here, and seemed equally happy to him. If he were going to be stuck on a planet that required a means of escape be devised, these would be the ladies he would choose.

"You're never going to believe me when I tell you whom I've found here!" He beamed, pointing in Rose's direction. "Then again, I suppose you wouldn't know what was so significant about that... Eh... Long story..."

Where to start with this one, eh?

Susan decided there was no harm in going into the party, mostly since to be honest she was quite curious. But the notebook struck her more, it was in red leather with a golden lion (which reminded her of Aslan) on the front and the script was in writing native to Narnia. She quickly dressed in a simple skirt and nice sweater and realized her room was exactly the same as her room back in Cair Paravel.

Part of her hoped Legolas was still around since he understood Narnia.

Blair had mostly been keeping to herself these days, and it was only when she got the invitation to the party, she was quick to make her mind up. Of course, rarely any party was as good as any of her own, but it was worth a try, rather than being alone as usual. So she made herself up, her perfect style and make up, her hair in their usual curls and her headband placed on top. Of course, she dressed for occasions, and in this case, the weather too. Soon she headed down, not being able to mistake where the party was.

She glanced around, before heading over to the drinks table, looking at the array of drinks there were.

Sidney slipped into the party and for once was actually curious after finding her own notebook that morning (simple black leather with quotes from various old movies on the front). This was her first offical outing since the kidnapping and beyond looking a little worse for wear from nightmares was almost back to her old self (but she could not explain why a huge rabbit was in her dreams). As she walked into the party she watched for friendly faces (especially the twin brothers she had met a few days before, they had made her laugh).

But for now she went to the drink table to locate a soda and watch the scene around her.
