Party thread!
-Who: Everyone!
-What: Party time!
-When: Day 27, from 5 in the morning carrying on until 5 am the next day when everything will get cleaned up by the golems
-Where: Ballroom, club, bar, places around there
-Status: Complete
-Rating: Who knows! Could go from anywhere between G and R!

If one were to walk into the ballroom after 5 am, they would find brightly colored streamers hanging across the walls and from the ceiling. Confetti was constantly fluttering down from the ceiling, as if the tiny pieces were snow themselves. Tables had been set up along the wall with plates, silverware, and all sorts of food imaginable. The Planet had made sure to include everyone's favorite food on the menu. The dessert table was huge. There was also a drink table nearby, complete with a bar and a few golems manning it to monitor the intake of drinks as well as serve them up. The Planet seemed to be either apologizing for all the people missing or wanting the remaining people to get together and meet each other again.... or perhaps it was a little bit of both.

Marcus was relieved that Yuna agreed this was a bad place for a summoning. He didn't know why he should be so relieved. She certainly gave the impression that she was a sensible woman. "That sounds great." He looked closer at the drink she was holding up. "Um, is that juice? Do you mind if I have a look?" Marcus inspected the juice, expecting something exotic and unusual. "Um... I think that's orange juice." He watched her face for an expression of recognition.

Meanwhile, he appreciated the summoner's enthusiasm for her national sport. It sounded like it had a lot in common with some sports that he knew. "Blitzball sounds a lot like zero-G handball, only we don't play in water, just, you know, air. It sounds great, though. Clearly it is well-beloved by your people. The water must be a challenge to play in, though."

Personally, he couldn't imaging playing in a water-filled sphere. Though there had been no swimming pools on Arisa when he was growing up, he had played a game or two of water polo with his fellow Rangers on Minbar, and that had been work enough.

Yuna nodded. "Orange juice... it's orange, I suppose, but that seems a bit strange, to name it simply for it's color..." She peered into her glass, and sipped at it until it was gone. Her planet didn't have oranges, but she found she quite enjoyed the juice. With a thoughtful look, she put it down on a nearby table.

"Blitzball is very important to the people of Spira. Sometimes..." She hesitated before she continued. "There is nothing else to enjoy." She looked around, saw that the room had filled up quite a bit. They'd been here for a very long time, she realized.

"I liked talking to you." She confided to him with her very own brand of naive honesty. "I would like to do it again, and not just so that I can show you how I summon. But for now, if you will forgive me, I think I shall go. I'm new here, and there's a lot to see."

Having obtained his consent, she bowed to him. "I'm glad to have met you." With a slight smile his way, she turned and disappeared into the crowd, heading for the door.
