[Anri's found the athletic complex and is quietly exploring every nook and cranny of it. But the quiet unsettles her almost immediately, especially with Saika's agitated whispers.]

Um - so, what kind of sports did everyone have back home?

For a crime as severe as that, the amount of time for which a person is restrained certainly is short. Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Now then, I'd like to ask - would anyone be able to recommend a good place for food that isn't made by robots?

[seemingly random question is random, but he'd like to gain the trust of the people here through idle conversation for now]

[Action]
[Light will be exploring the dome for the bulk of the day - since he's finally free from his restraints - to become more familiar with the overall surroundings, and to see if he might be able to find any clues as to how this entire dome operates. You might find him especially close to the outermost extremities of the dome, and possibly loitering a bit around the external boundaries of the Defense Force Headquarters]

[If he does spot you staring at him, or possibly taking a good look at him, he might just greet you with a pleasant smile and a Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening.]

[He'll be wondering about from morning up to the evening(9 AM - 6 PM), only taking a break for lunch at the Shelter kitchens. Feel free to approach him~]

[Ordering your meal in the Shelter cafeteria? There's a thick purple braid sticking out from behind a the fridge as a bot prepares your meal. Picking up your laundry? There's a flash of round spectacles right where your laundry basket used to be. But don't worry! This lurking figure is not after you -- padding along the corridors, sneaking through doors unless it slams right into her face is Kohran, equipped with a notebook and pen, taking notes, and doodling...]

[Somewhere along the way, she switches the feed on, very curious~]

Oh-- excuse me! Good day Marina! I have a question!

Care to share your experiences with Marina's robots? For a place where we're supposed to spend eternity in, these guys are part of our day-to-day living, so maybe there was a time they made your day, or they made you really mad...?

(( OOC: Kohran's just about everywhere in the Shelter -- the halls of the living quarters, laundry, kitchen, baths, cafeteria, following bots wherever they go! Stumble upon a crazy robot lady? :D ))

Not that I think there are many here who would, but...

[Yuuki, just appearing on screen looks deadly serious for a moment. Dark brown eyes clear and intent, focusing on the screen with a well of passionate emotion behind them.]

Wasting food is the worst.

[Giving a sigh, a hand moves to rest on her slim hips, the other lifting up to her head in the appearance of tired exasperation.]

If something happened again where the dome was to shut down and the food supplies get cut off, that could turn into a real issue. [She lifts a lecturing hand.] Playing with the supply catered to a particular group's nutritional needs is even worse. [Probably Road doesn't care all that much (actually, the worry and chaos it causes is probably something she likes ...Damn it.). Anyway she can only imagine Kamui's irritation.]

Just try not to take it for granted.

[She exhales one last time.] Anyway... [Eyes softening, she gives a small hopeless smile that tugs the corner of her mouth. Anything too serious and she feels out of place.]

Out of curiosity, is there anyone who plays chess that wouldn't mind teaching me? I know how to play a little, er...mostly, anyway... just not well. If so, I'd be grateful! I promise I'm a great student!

[Her hand lifts after flashing a bright smile and peace sign at the device, covering the screen after as she reaches forward to deactivate it before suddenly halting.]

AH! [Hands falling away she has an afterthought, only just remembering now!] I almost forgot. Suzaku-kun, can I speak with you?

[ It’s getting to be later in the evening, and for once, he’s considering sleep. There are no nicotine patches to keep him occupied, and the world right now is dull, dull, dull. He needs something stimulating, and the communicator is right there... Normally, he’s not given to speaking to people unless they have information. This is no exception. ]

[ Those listening to the open feed will hear the dark voice pouring through their headset, smokey and slow with the weight of his dilemma. ]

Good evening, Marina Asylum.

Before you ask, yes, I am one of those new inmates assimilated into the fold by your monotonous overlord. However, I’m not interested in preaching my woes of incarceration. I am comfortable with the charges that have been weighed against me and regret nothing.

My name is Sherlock Holmes.

I’ve spent the day exploring your facilities. Anthrax Island, indeed. However, what I’ve seen of you brings questions to mind, those of which I would like to bring to your attention.

[Anyone walking through the park will see Road sitting cross-legged on the floor, cutting open a blood pack. There's a large sheet of white construction paper on the floor, already spattered with blood. She drops the scissors carelessly onto the paper, before dipping her fingers into the packet. She frowns and flicks the blood off her fingers, getting spots on her blue dress.]

I hate it when it's cold. Blood's best when it's warm. [She pulls a little put-upon sigh, before returning to her art.]

[A few rhythmic taps start over the feed-- and once they're done, a terribly bland drawl takes over]

Suffering through lock up, community labor, and "good behavior" [slight emphasis here; she behaved for her, okay] the first time around doesn't net you a pass out of chains on your next shitty stay here? [Promptly ending that is a particularly loud crack-- she's shoved the ball at the end of her restraint off her lap and crashing onto the concrete]

[...After a few beats, muffled] This is bullshit.

[She's at the ever popular hang-out spot, aka the park; stretched out and lazing on one of the low, waist height walls if you want-- or happen!-- to run across her. She's not going anywhere with that around her foot, after all]

Well. Seeing as earlier matters have been... resolved, I suppose, should a proper introduction be in order? [He quirks a brow, smiling harmlessly.] After all - if this is life sentence, it couldn't hurt to know the people around me!

I do love meeting people, after all.

[He pauses briefly before continuing.]

Rather than ask the same questions that have clearly been addressed to other new prisoners, though... why don't we make it more fun? I want to hear about you! Who you are, where you're from! Why you've been brought here! There's little point in holding back, wouldn't you say?

I could use a change of pace after such a busy morning. Anri-chan is quite feisty when the mood strikes! [He laughs. Loudly. Is he mocking Anri a bit? Possibly, but it's hard to tell.]

Oya, oya - I nearly forgot to introduce myself. [No, no he didn't.] I'm Izaya Orihara.

[And with that? Click!]

I understand that something this elaborate cannot possibly be considered a joke... Well then. It doesn't seem like I'll be able to do anything about this situation at the time being, not that I won't try to find out more to see if I can't do anything about this at a later point but I must question the warden of this place about this list of crimes - If I had committed the said crimes, I would know it, wouldn't I?

[have a disgruntled pause, and - is that chains you hear in the background? I think it is!]

In any case, since this seems to be a public broadcast, I suppose I ought to introduce myself: I am Light Yagami, and I come from Tokyo, Japan, a mere small part of the planet Earth.

So. [skepticism is plain in his voice to hear] What sort of worlds do people here come from, then?
