Initium is a new beginning. Lord Voldemort is dead and the wizarding world is picking up the pieces left in his wake. The muggle-born registration has ended and they no longer live in hiding. The ministry is no longer in turmoil. Hogwarts is reopening. All is right with the world?

In the wake of Lord Voldemorts demise, the death eaters have claimed to be Imperiused or otherwise coerced into service in his name. Some have been released into society, now better citizens. Among that group was Rodolphus Lestrange. He has become very active in the ministry and is considering a run for political office, standing up for the order, doing what is right in society. Things are not always as they appear. The death eaters have reformed underground and are quietly building their army again under Lestrange's guidance, unbeknownst to the world.

Meanwhile Hogwart's is flourishing. Due to the disasters of the last year, the students have been invited back for a proper 7th year and a proper education. It is a shortened year but it gives then the opportunity to make up what they missed and take the exams that will help them continue on into their careers. The parents think that it is a good idea, especially those of muggleborn children who had to leave the school last year. The DA is a welcome organization and the students may feel free to join. It isn't hidden but honored. Below the surface though, the DE children will also organize and will build again. Leading in the seventh year, they are now pushed underground but they never stay there for long.

Initium is an intricately woven game where spies for either side, run rampant as battle lines are again drawn. Each side, both in the wizarding world and at school are gearing up for yet another round. Who will win in the new world is anybody's guess.

O2C-Making JKR cringe since March 19th 2007
[info]one2ndchance picks up where omgharrypotter left off. It's Post War AU RPG set in 2000. The War is over, it's time to start fresh...or at least try to. Lately the idea of peaceful society has been threatened by the rumors of lingering Death Eaters and if that wasn’t bad enough the Ministry is in need of some serious reform. The new Minister’s policies have caused paranoia throughout Wizarding Britain. Innocent people are being put on watch lists, basic rights are being thrown out the window, and purebloods along with families of Death Eaters are being mistreated.

The year is 1955. The war that had gripped most of the muggle world has been over for ten years and the Dark wizard Grindelwald has fallen. Both worlds are again at peace, and for the most part seem to be co-existing in peace.

A new faction is arising however, that will seek to change this, calling themselves the Knights of Walpurgis. They are led by a man who has been all but missing from the world since graduating from Hogwarts.

To some he is known as Tom, but to the world he shall be known as Lord Voldemort.

This mad man is charming and charismatic, drawing a great number of powerful young witches and wizards. His key goal is the pursuit of everlasting life, a goal he grows closer and closer to reaching.

A secondary mission for these men who eat death, is to exterminate and over power the muggles and those of muggle birth.

Whispers of his powers are growing louder, and the name of Lord Voldemort shall soon be known by all and spoken by none. Join us if you have the passion. Oppose us if you dare

Mischief Managed is a brand new, original character, contemporary Harry Potter RPG currently seeking talented writers. We are a unique community of original characters that still respect the canon laws of the Harry Potter universe. We value in-depth character development and mature writers (Mary-Sues and self-inserts will not be considered.) This is an HP board for dedicated writers and storytellers that enjoy collaborating with their fellow 'students' to create their own history.

We welcome people to apply for professors, as Mischief Managed is one of the few boards that holds active classes in any and all Hogwarts subjects, but we are also looking for students of all houses and ages (especially Slytherins!) Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has stood the test of time. It's been the home to scores of young witches and wizards preparing them to take their first few steps out in to the real world. Designed to help students cope with their adult lives, things have scarcely changed in the thousands years of its operation. Until now. Severus Snape has taken charge of the school and with him come two notorious Death Eaters, all ready to modify the school in a manner to suit their evil whims. The seventh book gives readers a glimpse into what the young witches and wizards experienced whilst in these hallowed halls, but what really happened? How could things have gone so terribly wrong and how will they all get ready to take that final stand? To overthrow Voldemort and everything he stands for when Harry Ron and Hermione return in summer for that final stand.

A 7th year by-the-book community with a little twist, Resurrecting the Hallows will replay Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from the view of the students, reflecting on the moments that would make them stand and fight or run and hide. Although striving for canon, we don't wish to stifle creativity and will therefore follow the books until that fateful battle...
