When: Saturday evening, after this, this, and this
Rating: High

Rory had never been so conflicted in his life. It was actually a little difficult, rolling to Eisen's house in the cold, and not just because of the snow. For all his brave talk to his brothers about how Alex's bark was worse than his bite, he couldn't help but be a little paranoid as he made his way to Eisen's house. Fortunately he only got stuck in the snow a few times, and his mix of determination and frustration got him out of those spots relatively easily. He didn't tell Eisen that he intended to come alone, of course. Given how Eisen was reacting to Alex's threats, Rory had decided that it wouldn't be the best idea. Actually, Rory wasn't sure that it was the best idea himself, but at least the distance gave him a little snippet of time to clear his head and think about... all of this.
Rory wouldn't admit it out loud, but his "pilgrimage" (a very loose interpretation of the term, but at this point Rory didn't really care quite so much about his inner monologue's word choice) was also a good way to punish himself. Honestly, Rory had been seeking those out lately, and every time his wheels got stuck in the snow, Rory considered it another little prick of karma's sting. The minor inconveniences were nothing compared to what Rory now felt he deserved, however. No matter how many of his family members said it, Rory was now almost completely convinced that, intentions or not, this was clearly all his fault. It had happened and he'd caused it. The more he thought about it, the more he began to wish that Alex really would show up demanding retribution. Rory had been through a lot in the past week, but the more people yelled at him, blamed him, threatened him, the more he thought he deserved it. And more. Gio made a convincing argument, but then again, so did Sebastian. If Sebastian could control his power (whatever it was, although apparently it was incredibly dangerous) why couldn't he?
And then there was Eisen. Rory's stomach twisted a little at the thought of his best friend. Eisen had wanted to see him. That wasn't terribly unusual, especially given the circumstances, but... what had Gio said? He'd made a confession. Presumably a confession about his sexuality that had gotten Gio to admit to Rory that Gio was bi. Rory's heart sped up in his chest as he drew closer to Eisen's apartment. Was Rory misinterpreting? Was he thinking too much? As the various facets of this awful, fucked up drama swirled through his head, Rory's thoughts kept coming back to Eisen. Eisen. His best friend. Even just to see him would make Rory feel better. So why was he avoiding?
He knew. It was a stupid question. His power. Rory wasn't sure that he would ever trust himself with it again, after what had happened. And now... it wasn't like they needed more drama to deal with. Lexie had been through enough. So had Eisen. So had he. The last thing Rory wanted to do was cause even more misery. And yet... I'll just have to keep myself in check, Rory told himself as he rolled up to the door. This time, he didn't bother knocking. "Eisen," he said softly as he entered, closing the door behind him. "I'm... here." Rory was already beginning to take off his shoes, more than ready for his feet to be free of them.
