Rory would've loved nothing better than to tell Eisen that everything would be okay. He longed to tell him that they were going going to get out of this awful situation without a scratch. But he couldn't say that. It would've been naive. And, worse, it essentially would've been lying. They both knew going into this that Lexie had... (for lack of a less loaded term) connections on the island. She was part of one of the biggest families on the island, which meant lots of angry cousins, siblings, and (in the McDermotts' case) honorary siblings to contend with. All of whom were, for all intents and purposes, a whole heck of a lot more threatening than Eisen and Rory combined. Especially Nick. Rory couldn't help but shiver a little just thinking about it.
Rory's eyes fluttered shut when Eisen pressed his lips against his, and Rory did his very best to return Eisen's desperation with gentleness. He flinched a little at Eisen's words -- a reminder of the too-fresh wound that Lexie had inflicted -- but then he ran a hand gently over Eisen's back and kissed him lightly a second time. "I know you do," he reassured him, although he wasn't completely sure himself, especially since he'd messed with Eisen's pheromones last night. Maybe there was no good way to tell what either of them wanted. But no matter what the situation was, Rory was determined to get them out of it... if not all in one piece, at least alive.
"How about we concentrate on getting through the next few days before we think about the rest of our lives?" Rory said quietly, moving his fingers back through Eisen's hair. It was so... easy to touch him, and every time his fingers ran over Eisen's skin a little thrill ran through Rory. As awful and messed up as this situation was, he didn't regret being able to touch Eisen like this. It was all he'd ever wanted, really. "This is where we are now. That's all that matters."
