Old West: includes... slutty barmaids, gross-tasting whiskey, toothless drunks and nasty outhouses. There is a saloon of course, and a main street that a tumble weed rolls down every two minutes. The hitching post outside the saloon has some really nasty tempered horses of course, and there's a man who lurks around outside the saloon offering to measure you for a coffin, not to mentions Miss Kitty's where the price is right for a tickle in the hay.

It was still early morning when Sean crept across the lawn from his own dorm to the other, opening the door and heading for the kitchen. He held a warm tray in his hands, and once he got to the kitchen, he set it down on a potholder on the countertop. Seam took off the foil wrapping to reveal a tasty looking tray of chocolate chip cookies! He knew he couldn't resist cookies, so it was the perfect thing to trick Tom with! They'd been made 'special', which meant he hoped Tom ate a lot of them and would be stuck in the bathroom for a long time! Once his trap was set, Sean hurried off to his own dormitory.
Feeling a little hungry after preparing that prank, Sean headed for the kitchen. He had to do a double-take when he saw a plate of fresh looking chocolate chip cookies on the countertop! "No way", he muttered to himself. He had to admit, the exlax cookies gag was kind of an old one, but would someone else really have done that too? What were the chances? He hesitantly took one, nibbling at the edge of it. "Mmm! blimey, these're good!" Not giving it any more thought, Sean scooped up three more of the cookies, heading back to his room.

WHAT? After Wednesday beer night, Dane stumbles in to his room and finds his bed not empty. This all due to the misplacing objects from the Barton twins spell experiments.

Why: Because this RP has been going on for how long and there hasn't been a bar scene? It's due time!
"OK, non-American beer. check. Bartender. check. Music. check." He looked back at the rest of the crew. "I'm happy."
Of course down the street were some other clubs, but Dane was content for now. Took little, really, but looking on some of the faces, they wouldn't be there for very long.
"I suppose if I add 'I'm getting first round', will that help?"
OOC: Note: The Barton twins, who would *SO* be there, are not. They are on their spell sabbatical. But they are most unhappy to be missing out (Wes, especially). |

WHEN: After This
The first clue that things might not be right, was that the lights flickered, and at the same time that the lights flickered, their guide faded in and out. "Oh dear it—" That was all the guide got out before the holograph faded out of existence. It was than that the lights went out.
While in the dark a whirring noise could be heard, the sound a generator coming on, and then there was a siren, followed by a very bright flash of light and the group than found themselves in a grassy field, underneath a purple sky.
Safe to say they weren't in Kansas anymore.
ooc: If your character was going to be the one to set off the security system (Daviki and Phil volunteered!) have them doing that in the previous post whenever you please. It's a tag team alarm setting off /portal opening thing! Yes they are in an alternate dimension – no humans, or humanoids live there, but feel free to have them encounter fantastical beasties. Don't worry, we'll get them home soon! |

Field Trip Post # 1 – The Tour Begins -- forward dated to Thursday
Once arriving at the Baxter Building, the students would find themselves separated into groups, the better for keeping things under control. Each group was to be lead on a tour by a holographic tour guide, and than once the tour was over, the groups would be brought to re-group at the entrance of the building. Everything was carefully planned, so that the tour groups would all be in different areas at different times.
The tour guides were pleasant, informative, although a little lacking in the sense of humor department, as they didn't find it funny when people walked through them.
All in all, it should have been a pleasant trip to the Baxter Building . . .Had there been a pre-cog amongst the group, they could have told anyone concerned that about fifteen minutes into the tour, everything was going to go to hell.
