At 2:00 AM Thursday morning the fire alarms went off in all the buildings on The Academy campus. The alarms were loud, obnoxious, and oh yes loud a person didn't really have a choice when it came to acknowledging the alarms, you simply couldn't ignore them.
Dani was out on the front lawn, with a clipboard, and a stopwatch, ready to mark people's names off,as they exited the buildings. |

Children's Show set (Think Pee-Wee's playhouse): includes huge animatronic creepy creatures like a talking chair, a rainbow elephant puppet that says "Braug!" between each sentence. Crazy wild-eyed puppets. There's a a corner for "timeouts", as well as a Tickle Trunk that contains costumes for dressing up. The costumes are non-optional, people.

This green room... is actually kind of nice! And quite literally green. Janis can't complain, she likes green.
Erm. Anyway.
Maybe she could complain, as her hands are tied. So are her feet. Janis doesn't have powers, all she's got is her mitts. So they've prevented her from using said mitts. The room has several old copies of Highlights for Kids and Cosmo. Janis leans over in an uncomfortable position to read an article in Cosmo. She rolls her eyes. Anything to keep her mind off the people in the corner arguing, or off the annoying MOJO TV programs that are blaring from several wall monitors. Or the fact that she has no idea what to expect.
To the nearest person, "Hey, can you turn the page for me?"

Joan barely even tolerated sharing a room with Andi. Nothing against the girl herself. Before Joan came to the school, she never had a roommate. No siblings, not even pesky cousins on weekends. She can deal with Andi. Up to a point. But that's what the common rooms are for. Or somewhere outside. Or Richard's room. Always a place to run! However, right at this very moment, Joan has no place to run.
It's near the time when normal people to go sleep. Joan sits on the floor with her knees pulled to her chest. She watches the other girls moving around and seeing to their bedtime rituals. Joan's rituals consist of washing her face and pulling her hair back. That's all. Her pajamas appear to be quite old, jogging pants and a shirt that says "CONEY ISLAND LITTLE LEAGUE" on the front and "ALLERDYCE" on the back. Yeah, that's pretty old. She feels quite unglamorous right now. And perhaps a little frightened of the other girls in this room.

It was still early morning when Sean crept across the lawn from his own dorm to the other, opening the door and heading for the kitchen. He held a warm tray in his hands, and once he got to the kitchen, he set it down on a potholder on the countertop. Seam took off the foil wrapping to reveal a tasty looking tray of chocolate chip cookies! He knew he couldn't resist cookies, so it was the perfect thing to trick Tom with! They'd been made 'special', which meant he hoped Tom ate a lot of them and would be stuck in the bathroom for a long time! Once his trap was set, Sean hurried off to his own dormitory.
Feeling a little hungry after preparing that prank, Sean headed for the kitchen. He had to do a double-take when he saw a plate of fresh looking chocolate chip cookies on the countertop! "No way", he muttered to himself. He had to admit, the exlax cookies gag was kind of an old one, but would someone else really have done that too? What were the chances? He hesitantly took one, nibbling at the edge of it. "Mmm! blimey, these're good!" Not giving it any more thought, Sean scooped up three more of the cookies, heading back to his room.
