It's raining in the Nexus, a chilly fall rain. There's a woman sitting in the garden, getting thoroughly soaked, but not seeming to notice as she slumped over on the bench. Storme was brooding, and anyone who saw her portal explode with a lack of a world behind it could hardly blame her. Her brother gave up on getting her to come in about an hour again, and Kay and Ari have both worried, but had no luck either in getting her to come in.
Storme likes the water in the rain. It feels healing. But it's not making the knowledge that her dad and all her friends are dead now and it's partially her fault. Nothing the others can say can convince her it wasn't.
Anyone want to question her why she's sitting in the cold rain? |
