I'm not going to post a discussion question this week because there has been no activity. No point in discussing if nothing's happened. :\

Oh my god does anyone here remember me? xD
I am Morph and my boys all graduated or moved to California that one time. Now, lovely Daltonites, I do have lofty hopes of returning with a new boy.
Here's the thing, though. He's a lovely, terrified Baptist preacher's son, and the kind of character who really needs to be played off someone from the very start, so he can deal with all the gay around here. I want to bring him in, but I know that if he doesn't have someone to play off of directly, I'll go right into inactivity and idling out, and that's something I don't wanna do.
I wanna ask if any of you have a secondary character who isn't doing much, and would be interested in making them more active. I love my new boy Jer, but I just don't wanna bring him in if he's going to be inactive, so I'd love to develop a full-blown plot with someone to start right as he arrives in January. That make sense?

He'll also think it's a sin. If you have a character who particularly notices boys in distress, he'll light up on that radar screen like a beacon. Any takers?

Hi, everyone. My time with Dalton is officially up.
Addison did end up breaking up once and for all with Eric. It just took a while (At least a couple more tries). His senior year was rather uneventful, and he spent all of that year trying to get his grades back up after they fell so drastically.
Dev had a quiet rest of the year and senior as well, loving being a part of the Warblers.

This is just a quick OOC notice to tell everyone that Riley has been sporting bruises recently. Although Alex and I haven't threaded the conversation that follows this out, Riley found out about Addison still dating Eric and ended up seeking him out and breaking up with him on Addi's behalf, which culminated in a fight. It's Riley, so it shouldn't be too surprising, but it's just a heads up so everyone knows what's going on and why he's bruised up like a peach. :P

Yes, I brought another minor character in, but come on, we needed some Haverstone girls!
Anyway, here's the basic run-down. Cooper was the kid who got "needs to focus more" on every end of the year report. She's involved in a lot of things but by no means is she committed to all of them, and occasionally, she's a bit of a bimbo. But she's friendly and she'll be more than happy to rescue anyone from the mistletoe and go to dances - all that fun stuff. She takes pictures for the Haverstone newspaper, regularly gets into arguments to practice for the Debate team, and has a pretty mean spike when it comes to volleyball. Her grades aren't the best but that's what happens when parties > studying. The most important thing? Don't call her by her first name. She hates it. That's why she goes by Cooper/Coop.
As always, throw your plots at meeeeeee.

Is an Ayu with a new character. Hamed Malik is a newly-transferred junior, originally from Pakistan but more recently from a very posh private school outside Cincinnati. He had to transfer because he was on the receiving end of ALL the racist and homophobic bullying (despite not actually being gay). He's kind of a huge dork who gets way too enthusiastically into arguments about anything and everything, and also loves fashion and musicals. He really, really can't handle dirt, though, and he's absolutely terrified of angry people.
Make him welcome! Or don't! Depending on character!
One other thing: Rose will be visiting Dalton for the school production Friday-Sunday, so if anyone wants to thread with her while she's here, let me know.

Help me try to catch up?
I should have known I wouldn't do anything for (more than) two weeks... Sorry for not posting any hiatus notice.
Now I'm so behind everywhere (translations, transcriptions, emails, new chapter of fanfiction, and of course here) I don't know where to start, and I'll have to apologize to dozens of people for keeping them waiting. At least I didn't have threads here (or is it that I didn't receive the notifications?) but there are a lot of posts I haven't read yet (and the older ones are probably not accessible through my characters' friend pages anymore).
Has anything that Dorian, Lu, Mina and/or Monsieur Leclerc should know happened these pasttwo three (four?) weeks? Is there any comment of yours I haven't replied to?

I'm back!!!! All the stuff I had to do went well (even if I was indirectly responsible for breaking someone's leg :x) and I am home for ten days and it's great!

I know there are a few hiatus notes up right now and I didn't want to be one of them, but I figured that it's better safe than sorry. :)
I'm going back to my university town in a couple of hours for my graduation ceremony. I'll be away for three days and I'm not going to be taking my laptop with me. This means that my activity will decline for a while, so I apologise. I will have my phone on hand, so I should be good to catch up with things as and when they happen. Obviously replies to threads will be a lot slower, though I should be able to keep up with journals regularly.
I should also mention that it's November, and I'm participating in NaNo again! So, like last year, activity might waver a little as I write my little heart out in the hopes of reaching the 50,000 word limit! I literally just got hit with an idea an hour or so ago, so it'll be a hectic race to the finish!
So yes, please consider this a slowatus of sorts. I'm still around but I'll be distracted. I still love you though!

Hey everyone, just wanted to point out that NYC is pretty hurt right now from Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy. Massive flooding and wind damage, fires, no power, hospital evacuations... I'm sure most of our boys are watching in horror a their beloved city is attacked.
They're all feeling Sandy too. I'm in Michigan, and her winds are howling outside the windows and it's raining. In Westerville, Sandy is making it SNOW/sleet/freezing rain, plus it's very windy, 30-35 mph wind. The weather will be pretty screwy for the next couple of days, I'm sure, and it probably started yesterday or Sunday. Snow isn't going to strick, because the ground is still warm, but still.
Just wanted to make sure everyone knew what was going on. Please keep the east coast in your thoughts.

Hey y'all - tis the season, really.
I have roughly three weeks until my Thanksgiving break and my professors are determined to make sure those three weeks count, so I have assignments EVERYWHERE. Added to that, I'm going to a convention this weekend and next weekend is Ring Night (a school tradition that lasts the whole weekend) and finally I'll have hit Thanksgiving. But obviously this doesn't leave me much time for anything else, so I'm going to take a hiatus until November 16th.
I may try and sneak comments in here and there but it's generally safe to assume that I'm writing a paper at any given time.

I mega super hate to do this, but I'm in so far over my head right now that I need to take a slowatus. A really, really slowatus. I have an essay that's over a week late, I have to make up the two midterms that I missed last week, one of which is on Thursday, when I also have a a source analysis due (and have to leave a class early to go write it)...
And my landlords just gave me and my roommates our three-months, so I really need to up the job hunt and, now, the apartment hunt.
I put down at my other game that I would be absent until November 3rd and then scarce until November 15th, but those are still somewhat tentative. I'll try to be around as much as I can be, but I'm just going through a rough spot right now.

All Warblers read this!
We sort of forgot to mention this earlier in the year, but before the first Warbler meeting, the Captain and Council sat down and had a discussion. Or, rather, Sebastian lectured the other three, and they couldn't find much to argue even though they didn't like him taking charge. ( Here's the cliffnotes version (because we never actually played this out for you). )
Also, for the next month, month and a half, Sebastian and Tak's room is full of half-hidden Halloween candy. Sebastian went overboard. Feel free to let your characters drop in for an "Easter egg" hunt whenever they need a fix.

I seriously had no intentions of bringing another character in but this guy just decided to make himself at home in my mind and I couldn't shake him. I mean, who'd want to with a face like that? :P
This is Alistair Whittaker, an incoming senior from San Fran via Monaco. He's extremely rich, can be a tad bratty sometimes, and is as stubborn as a mule. Other than that, he's an okay guy! He's a part time model (look at that face and tell me it's not believable) and has been since he was a baby, so he's used to getting attention. He enjoys the finer things in life and will be looking for people to show him a good time, since he's left the brilliance of San Fran for the middle of a cow field. He's due to move into Dalton this weekend, because he and his sister are transferring due to people bullying his sister at their old school. His sister will also be a student at the school (she's trans*), so if any freshmen don't have a roommate yet, then feel free to take Alexa in! Likewise, Alistair will be moving into room 403 tomorrow afternoon, so pop along and say hi! :)
