Please don't panic if IJ is unobtainable at times over the next few days. It is going to be moving to a new home and that necessitates parts of it being closed down. Not sure when our parts will be but it should run more smoothly afterwards.

Hey, guys! This is Kristina here with a new person since that seems to be all the rage these days. This is Camilla Moriarty. You may know her from such films as the moving family drama Going Gray, the scathing look at the modern music business No Aloha, the superhero films Green Lantern (starring the Manor's own Keaton Grady) and Shadowcat (she played the lead), the explosion-happy action flick Platinum Steel, the box-office hit (and critical failure) remake of Pretty in Pink, or a number of other films.

And you may have heard she recently broke up with her boyfriend of seven years, Rob Charles, one of the stars of that popular teen drama series Ashbury Prep. She moved out of their shared apartment and into a new place, right here in the Manor on the twelfth floor. She's currently starring in a production of A Doll's House downtown and trying to get an album cooking. And she'd love to meet you, so have at 'er! Thanks for your time!

I was reminded this evening of some of the best bits of my pre and teenage years (yes I know I'm getting old dammit), but I wondered if anyone else had something that always made them laugh or smile, made them feel better, and if they felt like sharing that with the rest of us as a sort of, well, communal 'pick me up' resource?

Padget (pronounced to rhyme with hatchet) Burke lived with her husband Craig and their two children, Mathilda (Tilly) and James (Jamie) in the Manor from the mid 80's to early 90's, when Padget suffered a tragic accident in an open elevator shaft during one of the Manor's "incidents." She died instantly, never knowing what happened. Her husband, grief stricken, took the children and moved out of the Manor shortly after. Nobody knows where.

For years Padget has known nothing, but now, perhaps because someone's moved into "her" apartment, or there's been construction, or something else has happened, she's woken up.

At first she'll be invisible or just barely glimpsed by those in the Manor who she meets, which will frustrate and frighten her because SHE will see those residents who are alive as the spirits. Over time, she'll come to realize something is very wrong. She might even meet a few of you who won't realize she is, in fact, dead -- just that she seems a little strange, a little out of date, (but not so much it's immediately obvious) and that she has a habit of disappearing and appearing when you least expect it.

Padget is caught in a sort of time loop that activates if she goes in the elevator -- once there she blacks out and wakes up again in her apartment to start all over. Sort of a macabre Groundhog Day. She has only the vaguest memory of her husband and children, though it will return in time.

Since there's a bunch of boxes in the basement storage that have her name on them and are full of her past, at some point she'll be able to figure out what happened to her, but she'll need the help of someone living to help her piece it all together.

I can't live without the Manor. Lord knows, I've tried. But I can't live without it, I just can't! When Maru gets back from her vacation I hope to resurrect Eamon more fully, based on if we ever have time to play (different time zones suck, man!) but I'm also going to bring in a new character. She's going to be a ghost with the PB of Gillian Anderson at various ages, and I'm working on her full story, etc. now. My play time will vary, obviously, everyone's does, but I think I'll be on MOST often in the evenings/nights as well as squeaking in some daytime tags as often as I can in between work. So anyone who's around from 8pm - 11 pm or so EST...I'm hoping we can play!

Andras is gone, and so am I!

I am off for my vacation as of now; might find a handy internet café in Verona, or might not.

I will be back home on the evening of Sunday, August 31st.

Today, I'm starting out on the first leg of my vacation -- going north to my parents' place because I have a dentist's* appointment tomorrow. I'll be there until Sunday very early in the morning. On account of the second leg, I'm not taking the computer, but unless something intervenes ISP-wise, I can borrow the computer there and be online -- in moderation, and intermittently, and accounting for kids and teeth and meals and walks and stuff.-

On Sunday morning, my mother and I leave very early for Verona, Ravenna and Mantua**, as had been planned since Christmas -- I am madly looking forwards to that! Fauns and Ostrogoths, Ostrogoths and Fauns, and some Romans and opera and generally other cultural stuff in between, too. I might find an internet café there to get online briefly, or I might not.

So, I'll take my main charries out of my games -- Andras in Morningstar Manor is going to SFo for the opening of an exhibition, and afterwards goes to see Eamon; Teja in Milliways goes with Demeter to her house in Provence because he wants some landscape to roam free in after the unnerving cooped-up-ness of the combined dough/jungle plot.

Don't burn down the Manor or the bar***, and if anything remarkable happens in either, or the online world at large, please comment on this post or the one I'll put up on Saturday evening saying 'Me go poof nao!', and I'll attend to it either from an internet café out there, or when I get home, at the very latest.-


*Why is my dentist 500 km away from where I live? a) The dentists in Munich are all monsters! b) It's the successor of the dentist that originally did the work, many years ago, that has now become manky and must be replaced.-
**Going south again and passing Munich, which is ineffective, but unavoidable due to dentist-ness.

Howdy all, Ceil here getting in on the spawning season a little. This here dude is Phineas Pandigaeshik. He's lived in the Manor since October of '06 with his wife (pandabridge) . They have 18 month old twins and have had a fairly rocky marriage. So you may have witnessed a fight or two, especially if you live on the 6th floor. Phin co-owns a construction company and he's an outdoorsy type person. His PB is Michael Trucco. And there's lots of other info Here. He's all yours for plotty stuffs or just for the hell of it :) This concludes Ceil's ramble.

Partying tonight, loves, cuz it's our wedding anniversary [don't ask how many cuz it makes me feel SO old] and himself is cooking something fantastic to which I must pay proper attention.

Dears, I've been looking back to check something on GJ and the site is getting more and more broken. The calendars still work but many of the other tools are either gone or their buttons are blank. If there's anything on there you want I seriously suggest that you make copies before it becomes inaccessible.

Sorry for the last week or so's absence, but have been organising and rounding up and sorting out and then finally assisting on the day at Kinkfest 5 in London. Yesterday was the event itself, and we had a great day. The workshops ran fine, the stage shows were great, and several people were more than chuffed to compliment me on my little quiz show, "The Weakest Kink"! Made me happy that did, cos well over thirty hours went into researching the questions and the answers!

Anyway, got home around 2am london time this morning, crashed into bed, got up again just six hours later, unloaded the van of my stuff and then did the laundry, the dishwasher (I forgot to put it on before going out at 7am yesterday morning), fed the cat, had a cup of tea and went to pick up the muppet from my parents. All in all, been busy so far, as on getting back with muppet I've cleaned the kitchen and done the weekly grocery shop.

Now, time for a nap? But, when I get up a little later off the sofa (bought a DVD for muppet to watch, hopefully he'll let me snooze through it) I shall have five pups all wanting to play!!! So go ahead and give me something to tag up to, please?
