Morningstar Manor - where the plot never stops

Just for reference. I'm collecting icons so we can tweak the weather to suit plots.

Welcome to all the new and potentially new players looking at our community!

We are relaunching an ongoing game that hit a dry spell. Holidays crept up and our moderators had major life things happen, so our lovely game of five years on InsaneJournal (and at least that many on GreatestJournal) was affected. With that being said, please overlook the lack of postings recently as we have been collecting ourselves to prepare for the relaunch.

Please feel free to look around, check out the way we write and post and dig into the history of our characters. Be sure to check out the Tenant Code, the backstory, the locations table and the rules before applying.

As always if you need help with something or want to ask us anything, we have some pretty friendly mods - mm_phreak, ilmatar, and essayel - that can be reached at morningstarmanorgame(at)yahoo(dot)com. We're on varrying time zones so most times there will be one of us available to answer anything you might be curious about.

Sorry, guys. I haven't been paying proper attention to the comm.

We should have had a supernatural plot in place for the middle of November, but I haven't done the necessary poking.

If you still want to do it you have nine days, until midnight 30th November to explore the idea of past wars impinging on the present - ancestral veterans channelling experiences through to the present, or maybe plain and simple ghosts. This would be especially appropriate for Adam and Eli, I think.

It's just occurred to me that it's time for another supernatural event in the Manor. Who would like to set this up?

Don't all rush at once.

Just say what you'd like to do, chat amongst yourselves about which one to do THIS month, then whoever's idea is picked can make a post in this comm explaining the event and giving starting and closing dates.

It's time for our next mixing and matching of pups. Please add the names of the pups you would like to participate to the list on the Gdoc for plotting [I think everyone has been added to it. If not give me a poke via IM or email, please.] I'll do the muddling and get the pairings back to you on Friday.

Hey all just a quick update from me. I've now moved out of the house and in with my folks. The divorce is going as well as a divorce possibly can and the kids are handling it pretty well so far. I want to play - I really do - but my creative side hasn't quite caught back up to my desire yet. Plus I'm not quite settled here - still need to unpack some things and get my desktop set back up so I can continue on with my radio shows. I'm using today to get that done so I'm hoping that next week sometime I'll be ready to get back into things, though it might be a bit slowly. Also I'm job hunting and have a very very promising job that I should hear about next week. So please send good thoughts/prayers/vibes my way. If this job works out it would be something I love doing and lots of future potential. Of course if I do get it my play time will be much more limited but I'll still be around.

So - give me a little longer and I should be back. Love you all.

AND it's time for our next paranormal event, which should really have started yesterday. Last summary I asked for suggestions and Maru responded with the suggestion that the Manor plays tiny games with reality - just enough to make people wonder if they are going crazy. Like picking up a spoon to eat soup then finding it draining through the prongs of a fork even though you KNOW it was a spoon a moment ago. With only one suggestion we can't very well take a vote so let's go with that very good suggestion and next time someone else can choose. That'll be to start Monday 15th November.

The next mix and match is supposed to be 1st November but shall we have it as part of the Hallowe'en Ball instead? That's a good opportunity to muddle pups up. Please put your new nominated pups on the plot doc sometime this week so I can do the paper and hat thing again. Some folk still have stuff outstanding from last time so I'll carry those over.
