It takes more than winning a war to get to, "All was well." In 2005, the Wizarding World is facing challenges it never expected. Recent advances in muggle technology threaten to put an end to the Statute of Secrecy and the fragile peace magical society has finally achieved. One mysterious new group aims to put an end to the Statute by any means necessary. They've drawn up a list of enemies, posted it for all to see and, one by one, terrible things are happening to the people whose names appeared on it. | |

 CHARACTER LIST • PB LIST • APPLICATION • RULES • WANTED CHARACTERS Liberalis A Post-Warts, Non Deathly Hallows Compliant Game By the spring of 1999 the Trio had collected and destroyed all six of the Horcruxes and they set out to find the Dark Lord hoping to end it once and for all. At the climax of the duel, Harry gained the upper hand and Voldemort, knowing he had seconds left, used his last lifeline: a time turner. With the fall of their Lord, the Death Eaters abandoned the battle and it appeared to the wizarding world that their greatest enemy had been defeated. Unknown to them, the time turner had brought Voldemort into 2002 where he was already gathering his followers and one more Horcrux still remained. Voldemort had unknowingly created another when he had killed Harry's parents and attempted to kill Harry. The newly shattered part of his soul was transferred into the infant when the Dark Lord cast the killing curse. The New Year of 2003 would be marked with tragedy. The Dark Lord would announce his return at the Ministry’s Annual New Year’s Ball where innocents were attacked and dozens were slaughtered. In the aftermath of the battle, accusatory eyes turned to the once celebrated hero; Harry Potter. Overnight the news spread and people began to feel again the terror that had yet to fade completely. Over the next few months the Ministry worked around the clock to assure the people that this time wouldn’t be like the last; this time they should place their trust with the government and not in the hands of an adolescent hero. The Ministry’s demeanor became one of confidence. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had struck out twice already and this time the situation would be handled properly. Voldemort had other plans. On June 23rd the Ministry of Magic fell. Trust and security was shattered when Voldemort and his army entered the Ministry building, having been given access from within. Death Eaters and dark creatures alike swarmed through the structure, destroying everything in their path; among the dead was found every member of the Wizengamot including the Minister of Magic himself. Once and for all the Dark Lord proved what he was capable of. With their Headquarters in ruins, the Ministry has been forced to relocate and is scrambling to come to terms with their losses and what it meant for the future. Wizarding Britain looks to the future with little hope while the Trio desperately search for the missing piece, knowing that if the Dark Lord had returned that their mission had not yet been completed. After the seventh year, comes the eighth. Voldemort has been defeated, the dust has settled and everyone is working hard to rebuild their lives following the end of the war. One would think that it would be a time of peace and healing... But not everyone is pleased with the demise of the Dark Lord. For he was a leader, and what's a leader without his followers? These followers didn't just disappear after Voldemort's death, no, they only went into hiding. Recruiting from their position in the shadows, the remaining Death Eaters are targeting the younger generation in order to restore their population and finish what they started. Those not aware of the darkness still surrounding them are going on with their lives as best they can. Only time will tell if things are really changing for the better. Or perhaps the world is merely being led into a false sense of security. |

The Golden-trio is no closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up into camps or held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it. There are few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground. Where will you be? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord? Game opened on July 30. Most wanted characters by other players include: Severus Snape, Hermione Granger, Horace Slughorn, Amycus Carrow, Tracey Davis, Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnet, Kingsley Shacklebolt and Neville Longbottom. | In 1995 the world is changing, and not everything is the way it has been in the life of Harry Potter or his friends. Fifteen years ago the Potters placed a Fidelius Charm upon their home with the help of James Potter’s best friend Sirius Black. It was because of this that Lord Voldemort never discovered the location of the Potter home, thus, Lily and James Potter were very much alive. Also hidden, the Longbottoms avoided their own ghastly fate. Harry grew up in a loving home under the protection of the Charm and is far from the poor boy that he once would have been at Privet drive. With his parents around, Neville was not coddled, but loved and became well balanced early on in life. Upon entering Hogwarts, Harry soon learned the world was not exactly as his parents and uncles had made it out to be. Neville was pleased that everything was what he had hoped for. In the years since Lord Voldemort’s disappearance the Wizarding World had become a place of tension and strife. Wizards that were Pure-bloods were looked upon with suspicions, Half-bloods were being shunned by both sides for not being on one side or the other, and Muggle-borns were vanishing before they had a chance to even attend Hogwarts. In this world the Order worked to protect the Muggle-borns and get them out of the country for their own safety. The Aurors arrive after the attacks and have the gruesome job of cleaning up. No one is sure who leads these attacks, but everyone suspects the socialite Bellatrix Black Lestrange and the fair Lord Lucius Malfoy. The Ministry of Magic is split in two. When the current Minister, Bartemius Crouch Senior, came into office he led the largest dark wizard hunt of the century. Unfortunately, his wide nets caught up the blundering or the stupid but allowed the slipperiest of the Dark Lord’s followers through, including the Minister’s own son. Barty Crouch Jr, still firmly in under the direction his Lord went on to work for his father at the Minstry. At the beginning of the 1995 school year he was inducted as the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. The Ministry is rife with the corruption of the Death Eaters lying in wait for their Lord’s return. Their day is here and now. If the Order cannot handle it, if the Ministry is too subverted to control it, then what are the two Prophesied Children to do? It is up for Harry and Neville to hopefully rise to the occasion, for the sake of the Wizarding World |

Unlike other games based on a no-war environment, Euphoria Lane provides mod designated events on a local, national, and international scale, so there will always be a plot to follow, alongside in-depth character development. As a lighter post-Hogwarts game set in 2002 and interested in developing the lives of characters several years after the war, we already have over 30 taken characters but are looking for some key figures to further flesh out our cast. If you are looking for a game with an experienced, creative and a friendly collection of writers who have a good grasp of how interpersonal dynamics between characters work, and a couple of mods who encourage player-initiated plots and who aren't totally inflexible and nitpicky and won't make you replace your PB because your character is 23 years old and the actor looks more like 22 years and 5 months or has appeared in a film maybe five people watched once and is therefore too famous and so forth, you may be interested in checking us out.
We're due to start on July 1, 2008 and still have many colourful characters up for grabs. The post on current flats (though this can be negotiable) can be found here, with more on the premise and the different styles of flats available here. Below is some information on characters we're actively looking for and ideas of how they could work in the game.
