Culture. Blood. Friendship. There was a time when the lines were clear and the boundaries firm. That time died with Voldemort. Now, a generation who thought they'd already won the war are finding out that the war was a symptom, not the disease. Arguments over blood status have shifted focus but remain no less heated. Accusations are both far flung and festering quietly as light and dark fade to the background and new battles are begun. Schism is a social game with deeper game-wide plots as well. Set in real time, it revolves around the lives of those left to rebuild the Wizarding world and their struggle to see it become what they want it to be. The internet lives forever and travels faster than any owl, even without the help of magic. In the technology-saturated world of 2006, wizards are in danger of finding out first-hand what the consequences of that might be. It's getting harder every day for the Ministry to protect its citizens from exposure and the old tried-and-true methods haven't kept pace with muggle advancements. Without hard work, sacrifice and maybe a miracle or two, life as everybody knows it is doomed to change forever and they're running out of time to stop it. There are those who don't believe revealing magic to muggles would be such a terrible thing, however. Among them is a shadowy new group whose methods are unknown but whose motives have recently become clear. They want the Statute of Secrecy overturned, regardless of the consequences, and they aren't willing to wait forever. They've already started taking steps to force the Ministry's hand and although they seem unwilling to break the masquerade themselves, nobody knows if or when that might change. If you're not with them, you're against them - an "enemy of wizard-kind" whose name has been posted on a list of others like you. It's a list that's growing smaller as threats are made, blood is spilled and names are crossed off once and for all. | |

The wizarding world fell into peaceful times following Harry's seventh year at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, peace doesn't last forever. Painswick University is the oldest wizarding university in the United Kingdom. Nestled in the hills of England, Painswick has been home to the academics of the wizarding world. With a vast program of studies in a small town with a personal feel, Painswick can offer incredible opportunities to witches and wizards looking to further their educational journey. We see Painswick University as a fantastic opportunity for more adult character development and a chance to put the Harry Potter canon in a new environment. But what would happen if the Muggles found out about the wizarding world? And what if, among the Muggles, there was a group keen on causing a stir akin to the Salem Witch Trials? In this AU Harry Potter generation RP, Painswick University shows us just what can happen when the wizarding world as a whole comes under attack. |

It is the year 2000, the Wizarding World of Great Britain has been under the Dark Lord's rule for four years. The Golden-trio is no closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up into camps or held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it. There are few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground. Where will you be? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord? Game opened on July 30, 2010. Most wanted characters by other players include: Severus Snape, Horace Slughorn, Charlie Weasley, Amycus Carrow, Nott, Sr, Draco Malfoy. Diagon Alley – April 2003 It's 2003 and the Wizarding World has come a long way since the Final Battle. Death Eaters have been tried and dealt with fairly under the watchful eye of the new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt and a reformed Wizengamot. Diagon Alley and Hogwarts have been rebuilt. Slowly the magical community has rebuilt and healed from the destruction of Voldemort's reign. Most characters make their home within Diagon Alley as new flats and residences have opened their doors. |

It's 1998 and Wizarding Britain is a very different place. Voldemort controls a puppet Ministry and is seeking to expand his grasp into Europe and, eventually, the world. But he is not unopposed. There are many resistance groups working to keep him from accomplishing his goal and, among these, there is one that stands out from the crowd: The Order of the Phoenix. Secreting Muggleborns out of the country to keep them from enduring the horrors of Ministry-run "work camps", the Order is fighting a losing battle. Their last hope lies with a carefully guarded secret: The identity and location of The Prophesied One. Sic Infit explores the possibilities of what could have happened had James and Lily Potter stuck with Sirius as their Secret Keeper. What could have happened if Harry had never become The Boy Who Lived? What if Lord Voldemort had actually won? |

| In 1995 the world is changing, and not everything is the way it has been in the life of Harry Potter or his friends. Fifteen years ago the Potters placed a Fidelius Charm upon their home with the help of James Potter’s best friend Sirius Black. It was because of this that Lord Voldemort never discovered the location of the Potter home, thus, Lily and James Potter were very much alive. Also hidden, the Longbottoms avoided their own ghastly fate. Harry grew up in a loving home under the protection of the Charm and is far from the poor boy that he once would have been at Privet drive. With his parents around, Neville was not coddled, but loved and became well balanced early on in life. Upon entering Hogwarts, Harry soon learned the world was not exactly as his parents and uncles had made it out to be. Neville was pleased that everything was what he had hoped for. In the years since Lord Voldemort’s disappearance the Wizarding World had become a place of tension and strife. Wizards that were Pure-bloods were looked upon with suspicions, Half-bloods were being shunned by both sides for not being on one side or the other, and Muggle-borns were vanishing before they had a chance to even attend Hogwarts. In this world the Order worked to protect the Muggle-borns and get them out of the country for their own safety. The Aurors arrive after the attacks and have the gruesome job of cleaning up. No one is sure who leads these attacks, but everyone suspects the socialite Bellatrix Black Lestrange and the fair Lord Lucius Malfoy. The Ministry of Magic is split in two. When the current Minister, Bartemius Crouch Senior, came into office he led the largest dark wizard hunt of the century. Unfortunately, his wide nets caught up the blundering or the stupid but allowed the slipperiest of the Dark Lord’s followers through, including the Minister’s own son. Barty Crouch Jr, still firmly in under the direction his Lord went on to work for his father at the Minstry. At the beginning of the 1995 school year he was inducted as the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. The Ministry is rife with the corruption of the Death Eaters lying in wait for their Lord’s return. Their day is here and now. If the Order cannot handle it, if the Ministry is too subverted to control it, then what are the two Prophesied Children to do? It is up for Harry and Neville to hopefully rise to the occasion, for the sake of the Wizarding World |

Voldemort is dead and Harry Potter is missing, assumed to be the same by most. The brave souls that fought have been mourned and The-Boy-Who-Lived has been celebrated as the hero of heroes. But now what? School's starting up again this September, but things are going to be a little bit different. Hogwarts is in no shape for students, so everyone's being shipped off to another location. A school called Sangster Institute! Headmistress McGonagall has some done away with the House system. Don't worry, Quidditch still exists and she hasn't forgotten the kids that didn't get a chance at taking their NEWTs. You can't get out of your Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests that easily. But the students feel at a constant unease in their new enviroment, even Aurors were sent. Do they have a reason to be so unnerved? WANTED CHARACTERS Desperately Seeking: Quidditch players and Prefects, Students with loses and/or imprisoned family, anyone that still holds a grudge for losing the battle or even against those that lost.  the plot.  It is the year 2004 and the world as the wizarding population knows it is about to change. On August 10th, wizards around Britain will feel a strange pull drawing them to Diagon Alley, London. Few will manage to resist the pull, but many will not. And at 3:00pm on the dot, it will happen. The ground will shake as if in an earthquake and in the midst of the ground tremors, a loud "BOOM" will echo around Diagon Alley. The witches and wizards in the Alley do not know it yet, but they are trapped and there is no way out. The magical wards that keep Diagon Alley safe from Muggles will- for reasons no one can figure out- seal everyone into Diagon Alley. For the first few days those trapped will try everything they know to get the wards to break. But the wards will defy all efforts to break them and soon the new inhabitants of Diagon Alley will realize that they are, inexplicably, stuck. Surely, they assure each other, we'll find someway out soon. But until then, what will everyone do? People need places to eat and sleep and somehow they must all find a way to function together. There is of course The Leaky for a place of residence and, conveniently, a new building of flats has just been finished in the middle of the Alley. Of course Diagon Alley boasts several restaurants that can serve the populace-- at least for awhile. But soon the food will run out and then what will they do? We're all about to find out. Welcome to The Alley. |

During the 1970's, the war between The Death Eaters and The Order of Phoenix raged on. People disappeared and entire families were killed by the hands of the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord Voldemort- and the Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres. The threat of pureblood society taking complete control over the Wizarding World rose, and Albus Dumbledore created the Order of the Phoenix. The blood shed and the body count between the two groups grew and grew while no progress was made on either side. A red scare ran throughout the Wizarding world; people who were even thought to be Death Eaters were convicted and killed without a fair trial.
The Dark Lord used his intelligence in the Ministry to gain what he believed would be the knowledge that would win the war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and through much of his own research he discovered this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times and kill their son.
Lily and James were forewarned of the fate of their son, and managed to elude Lord Voldemort for a number of years- they did not stop living their lives. Not only did they have their son- but they also had a daughter while in hiding. They hoped the terror would stop and they would be able to return to their daily lives, it didn't. Peter Pettigrew, their secret keeper betrayed them and on the evening of October 31st, 1983- he came to Godric's Hollow to kill them.
Things did not go as planned, James Potter sacrificed his life for his family that night- and in doing so he killed Lord Voldemort. No one knows exactly what happened that night- he sent his wife and children into hiding, and as the house fell down around them they were able to barely escape and take refuge at Hogwarts until the storm could blow over.
With the Dark Lord Dead, though no body recovered- the Ministry was able to capture many of the most prominent Death Eaters and those who weren't killed were given life sentences in Azkaban- Peter Pettigrew included. The Potter's had become a famous family, and the fact that James Potter's widow was testifying made the trial a public spectacle. Some of these families were able to buy their way out of Azkaban, but their reputations were not unscathed.
The only trace of the Dark Lord was a package he left with the Lestrange family- containing a few items from the Founders of Hogwarts. There was no note, no instructions- just a few seemingly useless items.
Time went by, and the threat of the Death Eaters became something only remembered by History Books. The next generations started at Hogwarts, and it seemed that all was well in the Wizarding World.
But that was only for the time being..
The year is 1995 when Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts to start their fifth year. No one has any idea what is in store for them.
The War has begun..
