WHO WILL YOU VOTE FOR?

A 2008 Harry Potter Role Play Game

The Second Wizarding War is over. The Order of the Phoenix won, and the United Kingdom is finally at peace – or at least it was.

Then came the announcement of Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt’s retirement, and all political hell broke loose.

With peace finally upon the Wizarding World, the question on everyone’s mind is who will be elected to take his place. Most assume it will be the Boy Who Lived, but when Harry Potter refuses to become a candidate, that leaves the field wide open.

Multiple candidates are chosen, one from each Ministry Department. Each promise peace and prosperity, but most have their own agenda.

Worse, as the election heats up, a war between Departments is stirring as each fights for dominance. It’s Auror against Unspeakable, International Magical Cooperation against Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, even the Department of Regulation of Magical Creatures against the Department of Transportation. At first it’s regarded as friendly rivalry, but when candidates start to turn up dead, it turns into an all-out war.

Who will survive the election – and more importantly, who will win?

And after it’s all over…then what?

WIZARDING SINGLES RPG

**Premise ** Rules ** Available Characters ** Taken/PBs ** Application**

** Journal ** OOC Journal ** AD Journal

What began as a silly little prank among friends has ended up as a school wide fad.

A few ambitious Gryffindors decided that since they were unable to find dates to the Halloween Ball, they would create a journal were they could post 'single ads'. This journal was accessible by any female or male in seventh year and served as an anonymous way for girls and boys to 'hook-up'.

A Slytherin who wished to remain anonymous has taken the idea on step further. He set up a service where for two galleons anyone could send in their ad and have it open for response from anyone from the four houses. He assigned each person a codename that they could use when responding and required that the users only contact each other anonymously in the ad journal until the springtime when he is planning a revealing ball when everyone who spoke in the ads could meet face to face. He calls himself 'Romeo".

When Minerva McGonagall, the current headmaster, finds out about the journal ad service, she consults the teachers at Hogwarts. It is concluded that while inappropriate on so many levels, it is fostering a sense of togetherness. It is bringing together students from rival houses.

We are a 7th year game that is focusing on relationships and dating.

GAME IS NC-17.

The wizarding world has begun to turn and shift as the rising of a new threat has begun to sweep across the wizarding world, not only of the United Kingdom but everywhere. Death everywhere has become the new fashionable trend among those followers calling themselves the Knights of Walpurgis. They have recently become more commonly known as the Death Eaters and this threat threatens to tear the wizarding world asunder from the very foundation it was built on.

The Ministries fear that the students soon will be pulled into this rift between sides and have gotten together in secret to plan for a way to stop it. The idea? Promote inter-magical cooperation among the students and different ministries in order to further the cause of tolerance against not just other schools but also the half bloods and muggle borns that are within their world. Believing this to be the way toward the answer the Ministers of magic have come to a final decision…

Houses of Hogwarts will be switched and students intermingled among one another. This will promote the house unity they are looking for. Students will no longer identify by just their blood to be in the house. The Ministry will now decide the best course of action for those already within Hogwarts and those entering the School. The Sorting hat will of course be used to help in decision making but…the Ministry has the final say.

During his escape from Hogwarts after the demise of Voldemort, Rodolphus Lestrange quite literally stumbled over a small gold ring with a cracked black stone. Recognising it as something he’d seen in the Dark Lord’s possession many years ago, he picked it up before fleeing through the Forbidden Forest. Some weeks later, after reuniting with his brother, he discovered what the ring was and a purpose was born in his mind. He would find a way to use the Resurrection Stone to bring back both his wife and Voldemort.

It took three years of research and experimentation, but finally Rodolphus felt ready to try to use the Resurrection stone for more than its intended purpose. On September 1st, 2001 Rodolphus and Rabastan went ahead with the plan. At first it didn't seem to have worked, but despite the perceived failure the act had a costly effect on Rodolphus. Magically drained, prematurely aged and furious at his failure, Rodolphus and his brother started planning again.

What they didn't know, until days later, was that the stone worked. It returned Voldemort in all his youthful glory to life. However, instead of reappearing where they wanted him to (the ballroom of Lestrange Manor), Voldemort returned to where he died: Hogwarts, whereupon he was promptly captured by the teachers and imprisoned by the Ministry.

What they also did not know was that the stone was to have a far greater effect than they expected. For it did not stop with Voldemort.

this is a bunch of nonsense guys.

[ plot synopsis; ] The grounds of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade was tampered with by Merwyn the Malicious, a wizard who was scorned by the founders by stealing the land on which he did his most vital research. After laying out the land, he found the abandoned Timekeys[portkeys that could go to the future or rewind, but were deemed failures as one could not go back.]. Of course, Hogwarts was built and it followed but Merwyn took these horrible inventions and melted them with their magic all over the grounds. Eventually people came in contact, these people reluctantly became the first student body and teachers of Hogwarts. How the hell will they all get home? How will the deal with being stuck in 1000 a.d? Join the Tomfoolery that is this rpg.

Game; Yes, I know it's pretty fucked as far as AU. Any character can be played from any timeline, but only one version at a time. It's basically just a fun plot to explore characters and the like from different timelines.

Rules and Guidelines | Available Characters | Application | Timeline | Marriage List | Played-By's

Getting Hitched is a game for those who are looking for a change of pace where games are concerned. Sure, the concept has likely been done before, but with the choices out there (Rebuilding the wizarding world vs. Rewriting the final chapters), it's definitely time for a bit of lighthearted fun.

In the Spring of 2002, after years of finally rebuilding the wizarding world to its former glory, Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt enacted a piece of legislation that took the wizarding world by storm. Citing Albus Dumbledore, Minister Shacklebolt expressed his concern over the lines that were still drawn between those who were pureblood and those who didn't have tapestries filled with magical family members for generations and generations. Shacklebolt wanted a "state where everyone was equal," where no one was "judged or made to feel inferior as a result of their birth." The message was embraced by a large percentage of wizarding Britain, though many were curious about how such a utopia could be reached.

After his inspiring speech, nothing happened. Many started to question Shacklebolt and began to wonder if he was going to be just like the previous Ministers of Magic: men who promised the world on a silver platter, but never came through with their promised. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. Inside his office, Kingsley Shacklebolt was busy pushing legislation and finalizing his plans, and on 01 September 2002, they were announced publicly and printed in the Daily Prophet.

It was called The Marriage Decree - a plan to unite all those with magical abilities together regardless of their blood status. All unmarried citizens of legal age are now required to register their marital status with the Ministry of Magic the day they turn seventeen. Those who do fail to apply by the new laws are considered social terrorists. Those who do register in accordance with the decree can expect an official letter naming the match the Ministry approved and a date for when the marriage must be carried out by. All marriages, arranged or otherwise, must also be approved by the Ministry.

Who will you be getting hitched to?
