It's kind of rainy and gross all day. Madam Puddifoot's has a sale! Two cups of tea for the price of one - but for couples only! Since she missed out on all the Valentine's business she's trying to drum up some more. Honeydukes is revealing their very tasty new chocolate bar.
Prefects are expected to help maintain order and rules while the Inquisitorial Squad is required to make sure no one is buying/ordering anything muggle or muggle related. They're given discretion to "confiscate" whatever materials they deem that (so basically they can steal candy from the third years under the guise that they want it)
At around 3:45 when students are heading back to the carriages to go back to school, several low-level Death Eaters will "attack". It's mostly noise and smoke and a bit of torturing, just to scare students. No one dies or is hurt too badly. Maybe someone breaks an arm falling and several "known" DA members are probably targeted, but the Death Eaters are "scared off" by Hagrid and the DA.

WHO: HARRY, RON & HERMIONE + People returning to Hogwarts on the Express
WHAT: DEATH EATERS ATTACK THE TRAIN
WHERE: Platform 9 3/4, Sunday April 19th 1998
STATUS: OOC Log - post your character reactions in third-person, but roleplays belong in separate logs.
The trio arrived just before the train left at 10 am, via portkey set up by Arthur Weasley. Each of them has on them (hidden) Gryffindor's Sword, Hufflepuff's Locket and Slytherin's Locket, all still 'evil' and untouched. The older Weasley's followed shortly after, Bill taking Ginny to the far end of the platform. The DA (minus Ginny) was instructed (via coins) to meet the trio on the platform with the plan to disperse and hide, but as soon as the trio arrived five Death Eaters appeared on the platform.
Most students were already on the train, but there were a few still milling about and would have seen Harry, Ron and Hermione, plus Weasleys and DA members fighting off the Death Eaters. Outnumbered, the Death Eaters still fought, taking Justin Finch-Fletchley as a hostage. Fred and George manage to trap two Death Eaters together with a modified prank involving a lot of bubblegum.
Molly and Arthur took to protecting the Trio and making sure they got on the train while Zacharias, Ernie and Hannah took on the Death Eater holding Justin captive. Charlie Weasley helped take out the last two with Neville, Seamus and Parvati while Padma, Anthony and Terry helped get the straggling students on board. Bill was in charge of getting Ginny on the train and making the conductor go
The Hufflepuffs were successful in getting Justin released, killing the Death Eater with a dangerous combo of petrificus totalis and rictusempra, making the man unable to breathe because of the tickling while petrified.
The train started to roll away and all the DA members had to rush to get on it. The Weasleys made sure that the Death Eaters were taken care of and everyone arrived at Hogwarts safe. Later that night, the Trio escapes to the Room of Requirement to hide their stolen goods and figure out where to go from there and what to do with the 'outed' DA members.
There will be an article tomorrow for students to discuss.

The only sound that Aileen had heard for the last several minutes was the slap of her own feet against the ground. It was rather quiet in the halls, or at least these halls, which made her question the whereabouts of the other students. Had she missed a memo? Or... was she simply getting lucky to avoid the crowds of people she didn't enjoy spending time around. A shame it kept her away from the crowds of people she did enjoy.
It was no surprise that the sound of someone else walking the halls caught her attention, causing her to come to a stop and glance around.
