Who: Fred and Destiny
What: Visiting
When: Today
Where: Destiny's place
Warnings: Maybe, idk. Will update.
Fred hadn't wasted any time getting back into her life after she'd come back from the dead. Even with the month-long torment or reliving her death over and over again she poured herself into trying to figure out what was happening to her and the others. No one should have to go through this once much less time and time again. It gave her a project to focus on and she definitely did just that. She sought out help where she could and tried to fit all of the pieces together but it all ended before she found a solution. Words couldn't express how glad she was for the reprieve, but no one had done a single thing to fix it themselves. It had simply stopped and that worried Fred that it would somehow start back up again.
Angel tried to insist to her that she needed to stop obsessing with finding out what happened and move on. That while she may have found an area to focus on, she was becoming obsessed with it even after it had stopped. Fred knew that he was right but her scientific mind swore up and down there there should have been an explanation. It wasn't as if she solely studied facts and data. She knew how to look at the magical side of things too but she didn't have all of the equipment she needed. Tony's base had model after model to sift through, but she hated admitting that Wolfram and Hart's lab was geared towards this sort of thing and she missed the resources.
Deciding that she needed to get out for some air, Fred left the cabin for a while and wandered around until she found herself at Destiny's doorstep. They'd spent some time together before she was brought back and some after. She'd tried to help see what was happening to her during the few minutes she relived her death. Even if it hadn't worked Fred was still grateful for the help. Destiny provided a distraction that she hadn't gotten anywhere else so far and there was something about just her company itself that felt soothing. She could be herself and not worry about anything else while she was there. Fred wasn't fooling herself to think that there was more there than friendship of course, but that was all she wanted and needed. Her feelings for Wesley were still complicated even though she'd yet to have a steady conversation with him since they'd both been brought back even though she'd seen him every single night when she continually died in his arms each time.
She didn't give the heads up for her arrival, but Fred wondered if Destiny would know she was walking over or not. There was always the possibility she'd have a client with her, but if so she'd simply come back another time. No big deal. The air was frigid against her skin, but it felt good to stretch her legs a bit. Knocking lightly on the door, she waited for Destiny to answer.
