"Wow, I do have some great timing." Fred smiled and walked inside and sat down on the couch to get comfortable and waited for Destiny to return with the glasses. Not that long ago she probably would have been one of those people who fell into that third group of people, but death takes away a lot of judgement. That and Destiny had been someone who had wanted to help her in more ways than one while she was a ghost and after she came back to life.
She sipped at her wine and shrugged a bit. "I guess you could say I've been enjoying being able to finish my dinner without interruptions lately," she said. "It wasn't only the period of time it was happening but the anticipation that affected me the most I think." That and the wonder if it could pop back up again anytime, but hopefully that fear would pass soon. She was pretty sure that Angel and Connor had taken the last month as hard or harder than both her and Darla had. They'd at least been grateful to be alive at all.
"How are things here? Anything new on your side of the woods lately?"
As someone who specialized in science it was pretty fascinating to listen to Destiny's stories of her readings and different sorts of magic because it went against everything she was taught in the classroom but on the flip side it made sense based on what she'd been through and witnessed herself after she fell into that portal and then when she'd come back to LA.
