"The scientist in me wants to say that there are no coincidences, but no I still don't think that it was." Some of her experience with the supernatural world would agree with that. Nothing was chance and everything is planned out. That's what Skip had told them when Cordy was pregnant with Jasmine. Each little decision that was made, each tiny choice was a part of some great master plan that spanned hundreds of years. Fred wondered if that was still true.
As the other woman spoke, Fred stilled and listened. The words she spoke sounded so simple and she herself had a habit of over complicating things so often.
"I'd want to see where the ripple started," she said and already knew the answer to the unspoken question because Destiny had answered it for them. Bonnie's spell had started the ripple even if it hadn't been her intent. Hell, it hadn't been her intent to bring back so many ghosts all at once and then lose her life. Fred still had to carry that along with the others who'd come back because of Bonnie.
"What you're saying sounds too simple, but I guess sometimes the simplest answer is the right one even if it's hard to grasp. I worry too much about the hows and whys and although I've been around aspects of it, magic in its purest form has never been an something I've learned or even been able to understand outside of the creation of a spell. I can mix the ingredients and say the words, but that's all it is to me."
Passing back the joint, she sighed. "I see it more as an earthquake. There's the initial tremor that cripples you and sends you running for cover. Then there are the aftershocks." She met Destiny's gaze. "I'm worried about the aftershocks."
