Fred could understand that because most of the time people didn't understand her science rambles unless the same science nerd was inside of them. Those kind of kindred spirits were few and far between and apparently some of them wanted to turn you into a Godking, so maybe she shouldn't be seeking those out quite as much. The group at Tony Stark's that she'd been working with so far hadn't beeen too bad though and she thoroughly enjoyed some of the projects they all had going on there.
Sitting in silence for a few moments, Fred thought about Destiny's offer. Clearly Destiny knew about the magic more than she did and the fears she had about it weren't unfounded but that didn't mean they held any real truth or threat either. She and the witch had said that eventually the nights would stop and there was no mention of it coming back again. Part of the problem was Fred needing to know the answers down to the finest detail. Seeing inside of herself might have been a little scary, but she was determined to let this go and not be consumed with it any longer. She wasn't completely certain that there wouldn't be another angle she wouldn't want to analyze here if she went through with it.
With a sign, Fred shook her head but then smiled again. "No. It's tempting and I appreciate the offer but I need to let it go. To trust you and what everyone else has said so far and stop living in the past. Obsessing over it to find answers keeps me stuck on that day."
She finished off her glass of wine and leaned forward to rest her chin in her hands. "Learn from the past, don't live in it right?"
