January had been a very busy month for Destiny. The post holiday slump combined with all of the ghosts reliving their death and the excitement about The Nemeton had seemed to overtake the entire city, including her customers. She was enjoy the quiet that February had brought with it. She was sure that any minute now something insane would happen but until then Destiny was going to enjoy the peace.
She was relaxing on the couch just about to open a bottle of wine and light up a joint when she heard a knock. Isaac was out visiting friends for the night and truthfully she was glad. He was starting to cramp her style a little. She had helped Isaac as much as she could but now it was time for him to go back to his pack. She understood why he was dragging his heels but it was time for him to act like man instead of a boy and face his problems.
She threw on her slippers and go up, walking to the door just as scantily clad as ever. A warm smile spread over her face when she realized it was Fred who had decided to come by for a visit. Destiny really enjoyed Fred's company. It had started when she was a ghost and had continued on after that. There were three kinds of people in Everett. The people who had plenty of currency but were boring as shit especially in the bedroom. Destiny fucked them anyway because that her job but she wasn't having much fun doing it. Then there were the ones that actually were fun. That she enjoyed Some of those she charged and some of those she didn't but either way she wouldn't turn them away if they had no way to pay. The third kind of course, were the people who wouldn't dream of coming to see someone like Destiny.
"Fred. Come on in. You're just in time. I was just about to open a bottle of wine."
She held the door open for Fred and then followed her back inside her little cabin. She disappeared momentarily behind the beaded curtain into her bedroom and found some sage she could burn. Once she was done with that she opened the bottle of wine and poured two generous glasses. Walking into the living room she handed one to Fred.
"So what's been new?" she asked as she sat down on the sofa and kitty cornered turned her body to face Fred. Her elbow was propped on the back of the couch and her hand was supporting her head.
