Lily and I are somewhat disappointed that there were not more protestations to our decision to run off with one another. We were, at the very least, expecting anguished wailing from James, if not a fight to the death on the field of honour at dawn. Perhaps he was distracted by some shiny bauble.

We are quite happy, though we do wonder why it took us so long to realise out mutual desire. We have been married are living in wedded bliss under the assumed named of Romulus and Violet Doomilett in that tropical paradise that is Devonshire. Oh we do hope ever so much that James and Sirius do not find us after we have hidden ourselves ever so carefully.
