When her feet touched the ground, Koriand'r knew she had made a mistake.

She looked down the empty street at the flickering, neon Pepsi sign. This was not where she had planned on landing. This was not the destination she'd seen growing closer on her descent through the atmosphere. Shadows stretched from the corners of tall buildings that looked only vaguely familiar. Koriand'r did not understand. What city was this? And how had she made a mistake?

A few people passed on the other side of the street, but their faces looked unkind. She would not bother them. Earth was good about giving information and Kori knew there were maps and television sets in almost every little store in a heavily populated area. Maybe if she found a little store, someone might be able to tell her where she was.

She started off towards the Pepsi sign. That was a drink she remembered. It was all too sweet and fizzy for her, but some of the other Titans seemed to have had no problem drinking entire bottles of it.

The thought of her friends made her walk a little faster. The sooner she found out where she was, the sooner she'd be able to find them. It would be a relief to see faces from her past that weren't annihilated, dead...gone.

i_flybynight Making A List. [Babs]

The talk with Bruce had gone better than he'd expected. Well, Dick hadn't really had expectations for how it would go, but it was easy to come up with several ways and places that he could've degenerated. At least they weren't really the bar-brawling types. Dick had slipped away to make the phone call to Babs; it hadn't been entirely true that he didn't know who was here, but catching up on any newcomers was a good idea at any rate.

He found a motorcycle that he suspected had been, or would become, his at some point, and took that relatively normal mode (only 'relatively' normal because of his driving ability) of transportation to the Clock Tower, trying to avoid thinking about how much he might've messed up - what had Babs called it - the 'space time continuim.'
