Woman attacked over magic loss epidemic
Mollie MacFerson, president of the Foundation of Squib Integration was attacked in Diagon Alley by witch, and former friend, Mikila Matterby. A series of hexes were thrown as bystanders ducked for cover. The kerfuffle was stopped once Wizarding police arrived on the scene.
Mollie has been taken to St. Mungo's to deal with her injuries, none of which are thought to be life threatening. Mikila has been arrested, but waiving her right to silence, offered this speech to police and media nearby:
"(Mollie MacFerson) deserved it! It's her fault all these women have lost their magic! I'm sure of it, it's her. Those beady eyes prove it all! I have three daughters, two of which who attended her luncheon and both lost their magic, while myself and their sister didn't! And now my beautiful Maria has been kidnapped and that (censored) witch walks around like a proud (censored)! Always obsessing over squibs, saying everyone should know what it feels like - I'll rip every hair out of her head that (censored)!"
These claims are as of yet unfounded, though the Ministry and the medical community shall be looking into possible avenues.
