Anyone else doing the college thing in a few weeks? 'Cause if you need to feel better about yourself, I've got no idea what I'm going to do with my life. I think I'm going to focus on like...

...okay you can't see it but I just did like a full body shrug. How do people with ambition do anything?

Anyhow, hey, I'm Nick. Also officially looking for a part-time job that I can balance with school, whatever that winds up being like. I'm good with kids and can cook?

So do they make you take subjects like geology or history there? Or is it just.. all magic, all the time?

Mostly magic. I thought about going to one of the schools that combines, but I know what I'm about.

The school I attended back home was for people who planned to be adventuring types, which was more practical overall than the one I just graduated from here in Vallo. They had practical assignments, but that was more demonstrating spells than going off on an adventure for your spring break to retrieve a magical relic. They both have their merits, but I wasn't too sad about doing more essays and reading.

Tempting, but I think that I'll have to pass. I already have a feeling I've bitten off more than I can chew with my own courseload, but that's par for the course.
