Anyhow, hey, I'm Nick. Also officially looking for a part-time job that I can balance with school, whatever that winds up being like. I'm good with kids and can cook?

Nancy. Yeah, sorry, I got a little enthusiastic about answering. I'm going to be studying journalism. For now, I got a job at the library to keep myself busy and making some money, will probably bump it down to part-time when the semester starts and then eventually see if there's a newspaper I can intern for.

Assuming I'm here that long.

It's what I was told! Every place has something to share news, be it in print or digital. I might need a lot of learning if its digital I'm mostly a fan of digging for the truth, you can say.

Newspapers are definitely kinda dying where I'm from, but like... the Library of Alexandria is super-dead, and it's here and doing fine, so like... I'm sure you'll find somewhere cool to write. What kind of uh... digging do you like doing?

Things that are safety risks, mostly. Unusual occurrences that must have explanations behind them. Crime, shady things done by shady facilities that people absolutely need to be aware of.

You would have had a field day if you ever went to upstate New York near Hackett's Quarry, in my world. A lot of all of that.

Never been to upstate New York but Hawkins, Indiana had plenty of that. But I just never fared well at their newspaper because it was run but a sexist piece of shit.
