WELCOME TO SPRING BALL 2018
Allura and Zelda went a little crazy searching for flowers at the ports. If you have pollen allergies, no worries, because these would have been charmed (by their magical helpers) to be hypoallergenic. No allergies during the party! Basically, the lower deck is dolled up in either regular magical or non-magical decor. With a help of some people that knew magic, there’s also a water/ice fountain set up with flowers scattered around it in a cascading effect. There are sparkly gold and silver baubles all about the entrance, and in the Explorer lounge, probably that Hogwarts Great Hall weather effect except the drops of rain never reach people’s heads.
While most the party will take place in the Lounge, guests are free to spill over the casinos, of course, and the casino itself probably had some decorations too, but mostly limited to the front entrance and not so much inside. Anyone of any age is free to attend the party, but age limits still exist on alcohol and gambling.
This isn’t a party endorsed by the boat staff themselves, and so the Princesses had to do much of it themselves. There are tables for the food, the usual stuff you’d find at a cruise buffet, complete with appetizers, full course dinner meals, and a dessert. There are options for all kinds of travelers, vegetarian, non-veg, blood for vampires, etc. Drinks are all situated at the bar where the usual staff is working (if you look that young to be underaged, hell, yes, you’re getting carded). Finger foods would be making their way around on trays for people to try, courtesy of whichever wizard/witch wants to make those plates float.
There’s a snack bar set up on the side too, and yes it looks like that picture at the very end. Parents, beware… they’re regular candy, but watch out for the sugar rush it leaves your kids with! There will also be a photobooth section at one side too, with the backdrops similar to the decor, with the gold/silver baubles and pink and purple flowers within a large golden ornate frame.
Music is set up, of course, with a wide variety of literally anything that this group would listen to across all times but obviously limited to stuff you can dance to, except for the half hour to an hour reserved for eating the main dinner course. Music slows down, main course buffet opens, and people can grab platefuls of whatever they want. Taking superhero metabolism into check, the dinner part will be served early, and then will be kept open for anyone who wants to go back for seconds. Or third. Or fifths. There are no reserved seating here, and people can sit wherever they want and mingle wherever they want. For louder music, go to the dance floor! For softer conversation-friendly music, probably closer to the atrium or at the casino. Enjoy!
