So I'm grounded and forbidden to go to the dance. My dad saw that I totally mouthed off and said some pretty awful stuff to the other version of my dad and I'm grounded. Which I totally deserve. I'm just worried I'll never get either one of them to trust me again--and that I've lost the one I mouthed off too. Forever.

I never really got to go to a school dance and actually enjoy it. The Morp doesn't even come close to counting. I actually almost wish I was still in high school so I could go to one.

So... I think we need to talk.

I know I'm young, and I know Elle and I haven't been together long. But I want all of us to be on the same page.

I have NO intention to ever hurt Elle, or take advantage of her. She's a beautiful, funny, exciting person to be around. She makes me feel alive for the first time since I got here.

I am *not* like my father. I'm a good person. Well, maybe not 'person' in the most technical sense of the word, but still. I will take care of her, protect her, and cherish her. I swear to you, I would something happen to ME before I'd let anything hurt her.
