Long red hair fell down Jocelyn's back as she brushed it into a fiery halo. Long fingers held the brush as she made stroke after stroke. Putting the pearl-handled brush down, she shook her head back-and-forth, happy with her reflection.

Jocelyn Fray was truly, madly, deeply in love with Luke Graymark. She'd often wished that it had not been Valentine she married but Luke instead; young and stupid, Joc couldn't see what was staring her in the face.

Totally oblivious to what was going on around her the purple smoke engulfed before she realized. She had just enough time to grab her stele off the vanity.

Use to portals, the feeling this one left with her didn't bother her. She'd been transported to a room in a mansion, a room that felt like magic.

In one end of the room there was a table with manila envelopes, she took one and curiously opened it. She'd seen enough in her life to know this was all true.

Jocelyn went about finding a place to live; she believed with all her heart that Luke wouldn't be far behind. She couldn't imagine her world without him in it.
