This one requires a little history. It was way back around June 2009 - a simpler era when Year One was stealing America’s hearts, and an endless wave of Michael Jackson tributes was only a few tantalizing weeks away. Inky, who I had met sometime earlier, wanted to do a snark together. I had never done a group snark before and I thought an Ono manga would be a good icebreaker. If only we had any idea what lay ahead.

In short, it's a relic of a simpler time. It was a delightfully odd little comic, and to me Ono fit the role of a goofy, madcap eccentric of porn rather well.

| ANAL JUSTICE 2, PART I |

This is an old snark, dating back approximately to when Mike Gravel was being fielded as a serious presidential candidate and before I even met Inky or Del, but I’m including it for context.
In a nutshell, this is the seed that led to the Spork Squad. I wrote this almost two years ago during a two-week spat when my internet connection was borked and I had a lot of time on my hands. I had found AJ2 during my internet travels and it caught my eye from the start. This was before I knew of author Toshihiro Ono’s other work - I just knew that there was something incredibly strange hidden within it and I spent those two weeks writing this in order to lure it out. I originally posted it on LiveJournal and I’ve revised it a few times since then, to generally good reception. Inky took a particular liking to it - when we decided to snark something together later, Take Me To Ariake!, a more recent Ono effort, was a natural choice. The rest is history, and Ono became something like our mascot over time, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
It's interesting going back to this after reading his other stuff and watching the seeds of Ono's insanity in partial blossom - it's the same feeling one gets while reading Seung-Hui Cho's high school writing assignments, or Myra Hindley's old columns in the Manchester Parakeet Enthusiast. I’ve been somewhat jaded by worse porn since, but Ono still stands in a field all his own.
