It's nearly time!
Dear friends of Snarry,

Tomorrow, the mods will begin to take down the Judges' Polls. We will begin from the oldest first, so you will still have a few hours to get your votes in, or change your existing votes.

How to change your existing vote: After you vote in a poll, you can change your answers by clicking on the poll number, and then clicking the [ Fill out Poll ] link at the top left of the page. Your previous answers will come up and you can change them from there. Don't forget to click 'submit poll' to save your new answers!

It will take a short time for the numbers to be counted, but soon thereafter, we will be presenting the Medals to Team Phoenix and Team Dragon. You can play catch-up here at our MASTER LIST.

We also have some Closing Games art to show you once the polls have closed. Stay tuned.

Thank you all for joining us for our Sixth (6th) Snarry Games, and our Third (3rd) annual Art Games!

The Mod Squad.

TEAM DRAGON: I Got Tired of Waiting "The Name Game"
Today, another mystery solved, as we discover what it was about Norbert et Chloë by Team Dragon member, [info]igtow that was so familiar...

We present:

The Name Game

Way back in the beginning, I took the challenge to include into my story the screen name for everyone in Team Dragon. Strictly as a diversion, should you be bored, I put together a listing of where all the names are (including the alternates) in the order in which they appear. I hope it's at least vaguely amusing.

The Name Game )

Thank you, [info]igtow!

Stay tuned here at the Games, we have another story for you, and very soon, the results of the 2008 Winter Author Games!

TEAM DRAGON'S CHALLENGE: HERE BE DRAGONS!
Today we bring you a Closing Games special from Team Dragon, which may answer some questions our readers had during the Games. They also have a special message for Team Phoenix!

Team Dragon sends us the "Here Be Dragons" Challenge:

(caution to Dial-up users)

Team Dragon challenged itself to include a dragon somehow in each of their stories. Some authors just mention the word itself, but others have featured actual dragons, running the gamut from pets to companions, from side-kicks to major characters. There is even one story where Harry is a dragon.

There are awards to be made, not that any Team Dragon member was motivated by booty the allure of a prize. Inside, gathered for your viewing pleasure, are excerpts from each of the 29 stories by authors who answered the call, along with their award banners. Many of the stories had more than one dragon passage, so the author has chosen their favorite to represent their story. Homage is paid within to all members of the team, as well as to Team Phoenix who, for whatever reason, also heeded the call of the Here Be Dragons Challenge, and mentioned or featured dragons in their stories.

We hope you'll be enticed to enter our lair, and snuggle up to the side of the dragon and read for a while, where it's toasty warm, where there are riches and romance and danger. Team Dragon thanks you, our readers, for your loyalty and gracious comments during the Games. You made our Snarry hearts swell with pride and a ROAR!

Remember and revisit with us some of our finest Snarry moments!

HERE BE DRAGONS! )

Thank you, Team Dragon!

Stay tuned this week for more mysteries being solved, some reviewers being singled out for their awesomeness, and some wonderful stories provided by Alternates. Very Important Mod Posts will follow. Enjoy!

TEAM PHOENIX BLOOPERS!
Yesterday, we told you about Team Phoenix's challenge to Team Dragon for the following:

The Challenge:

Simple. The author quotes an excerpt from their own story and then steers it down a fast detour into The Crack Zone, not to be confused with the Twilight Zone.

Perhaps bold text might be an easy way to distinguish between actual quotes and Teh Crack.

Well, Team Dragon answered that call, and we posted a selection of their offerings yesterday.

However, Team Phoenix, having some very motivated people in their rosters, have decided to provide their Bloopers/Scenes in a unique format. Under this cut, you will not just find text, my friends. You will find video. (caution to dial-up users)

Today we present to you:

TEAM PHOENIX'S FIC BLOOPERS!

Team Phoenix Fic Bloopers/Missing scenes )

Thank you, Team Phoenix! Stay tuned, there are more of these to come! Plus more treats from Team Dragon!

TEAM DRAGON BLOOPERS & MISSING SCENES!
Welcome, Friends!

Today we have a special treat for you. A few months ago, while all the authors were typing away, Team Phoenix issued a quiet challenge to Team Dragon. It went a little like this:

Simple. The author quotes an excerpt from their own story and then steers it down a fast detour into The Crack Zone, not to be confused with the Twilight Zone.

Perhaps bold text might be an easy way to distinguish between actual quotes and Teh Crack.

Well, Team Dragon answered that call. Both teams had authors who took the bloopers a step further, instead writing 'missing/deleted scenes' from their fics to wow us all. Hee.

Today we present to you:

TEAM DRAGON'S FIC BLOOPERS!

Team Dragon's Missing Scenes/Bloopers )

Thank you, Team Dragon!!

Stay tuned for more bloopers, featuring Team Phoenix, as well as other suprises!

CLOSING GAMES ART by Glockgal!
More Closing Games art for you from a current champion, and previous Gold Medal Winner, pinch hitter extraordinaire, all around hardest working artist in fandom - Glockgal! Voting ends in less than TWO DAYS!

Title: Storeroom for the Damaged, Easter Egg/bonus/director's commentary art (See actual submission for voting here: Storeroom for the Damaged
Artist: [info]glockgal (Glockgal's 2007 Interview Here.)
Rating/Warnings/Kinks: NWS.
Artist's Notes: This was for 'Storeroom for the Damaged' and it was the original of Harry's dream sequences. However, it was simply too romantic and not enough angsty, so Dacro suggested I switch out the rather-cute Harry reading to blind!Snape and sub in the much-angsty scene of Harry captured by blind!Snape. And I happily complied. So, yes! Here's the original version!

Artwork is based on [info]dacro's [info]snarry_games Team Wartime 2007 Gold Medal fiction When the Soul Goes Hungry.

Archiving/Usage permission, including the Tribute Video (only after the polls have closed and medals have been awarded): Yarrrrrr

CLOSING GAMES ART by Jin Fenghuang!
For one of our Closing Games ceremonies, we have a special treat from [info]jin_fenghuang, who had provided us with close ups of her Team Angst entry Cockroach Clusters, Please. Unfortunately, technical difficulties prevented these from being added to her entry, so she graciously allowed us to postpone them until now. There is still time to vote on this, and every entry, as the polls don't shut down until the weekend.

So, without further ado, please enjoy the lovely art of [info]jin_fenghuang!

MASTER LIST OF ENTRIES!
Friends of Snarry:

The 2007 Summer Art [info]snarry_games are nearly over. We have just posted the last of a Grand Total of 72 Snarry Art entries. We are very happy and awed by the overwhelming response and support of this project, especially in consideration of our abrupt move away from livejournal, and would like to thank everyone who has been involved. The mods, the Champions, the voters and judges, the reviewers and reporters, the affiliates. Thank you all!

We now move into our final voting phase. We will be giving everyone until Noon, Saturday, November 3/07, PST, to finish their viewing and voting. The polls will remain open until that time, and then will be closed to enable the Mods to begin the counting process. You can also take this time to edit your votes, if necessary. It is easy to edit your poll: you can change your answer by clicking on the poll #, and then clicking the [ Fill-out Poll ] link at the top. Don't forget to click on "submit poll" after you've changed your answers.

Under the cut, you will find the Master List of all the submissions to help guide you to the entries that you may have missed during this month-long Snarry flurry.

Do not think the community will be idle, there will be special treats coming up for you. We were unable to organise our usual closing Games Drawbles this year, unfortunately there were too many things to coordinate with the move. But keep an eye out for other things coming during the week.

We also have new Affiliates to announce! Very exciting.

And now, we leave you with THE MASTER LIST OF ENTRIES, IN POSTING ORDER )

Closing Games Drabble #8-- OpulentGreen

Original poster: snarrymod

We would like to give you a little treat before we go on hiatus. The very lovely [info]opulentgreen sent us a single, lovely drabble that unfortunately got lost in our mail folder, and we would like to give it to you now, as a very sweet and appropriate send-off to our Games. We thank her for sending it in. ♥

Author: [info]opulentgreen
Title: Muddled
Genre: Postwar
Prompt: Safe Conduct.
Rating: PG

*~*~*~*~*

Safe conduct was the furthest from Harry’s mind as he entered Knockturn Alley. Wariness left him and instead anguish took its place. Had he known that informing his colleague of three years that he loved him would have earned such a reaction, maybe he would have stayed home. As he stood panting, from the exertion of running, shoulder propped up against a dirty alley wall, he hardly heard the pounding footsteps and desperate shouts. Eyes closed and heart bleeding, he barely felt the hands caressing his back, the arms encircling his waist and the taste of Severus’ gentle apologetic kiss.

*~*~*~*~*

Thank you, [info]opulentgreen!

Sometime next week we will be presenting our 3rd Fandom Fest How-To Poll. We would very much appreciate your feedback on how to improve our Games, and how you liked our changes from last year.

Friends of Snarry:

Hi. My name is [info]djin7, and I would like to say a few words to you all.

Before we announce the results of the 2007 Winter Snarry Games polls, I would like to take this time to thank some people who really made this year's Games a smashing success. We have had a pretty rough time of it these last few months, but rather than going over the bad, I wish to move forward and talk about all the good, and the community that we have, which is worth its weight in gold medals:

I would like to thank [info]glockgal for donating our beautiful Snarry Games artwork for 2007. I would also like to thank [info]pervart for our layout using the artwork and providing us with pimp banners, icons, and the personalisation of the medals, as well as her tireless work to edit all the banners and medals from last year to conform to our new name. It was because of them that we joined in the HP Quills For A Cause effort this year, and we are humbled by the gifts they bestow upon us. Much ♥LOVE♥ and kudos to them both!

I would also like to thank [info]medawyn, [info]alafairnadia and [info]earthphoenix for their mod help this year, from helping organise the memories to coding interviews and entries, and helping with the Name Change Incident. Thank you all so much! We hope you stick around for the next games.

To [info]meredyth_13, [info]shadowpryde, and [info]magic_helmet, who came through with some outstanding volunteer work at the end of the games that really saved our asses. ♥ Also, to the volunteers who helped to keep this ship afloat after it had been almost sunk during the Name Change Incident:

[info]alisanne,[info]captain_tulip, [info]elfwreck [info]r_grayjoy, [info]ms_beeblebrox, [info]txrabbit, [info]montana_dan, [info]maskofsmiles[info]joanwilder[info]rory8, [info]sansa1970, [info]inspiredlife, [info]verdenia, [info]legomymalfoy, [info]suemonroe, [info]briarwolf, [info]chaeche and [info]swtalmnd.

Thank you to [info]igtow and [info]lampblack for their gifts of paid time for us this year! And to our mysterious rose benefactor, as well! ♥

Thank you to the Artists who sent in the wonderful Opening Games Crack!Art to help us fill the spaces between when the authors were scribbling away. ♥♥♥ as well as to the Closing Games Drabblers who helped us distract you while we were counting. *g*

Thank you to DJIN's ARMY. You all know why. I am not worthy. *Squishes you all*

Thank you to [info]oulangi, who helped me several times this year when I considered walking over a cliff with an anvil, or being a stupid Gryffindor. She was the yin to my yang, and helped to keep me calm and rational when the seas were roughest. Thank you! ♥

A very special thank you goes out to [info]aliciamasters and [info]reddwarfer, who both have alternatively supported me, stood up to me, listened to me, talked to me, carried my burdens and helped me in ways that cannot be properly expressed in words - I thank you both so much. You are the best of the best and whenever I feel like I need a true friend, you guys are there for me, taking time out of your busy lives to help me in my projects. For all the things you do, I wish I could give you your own medals. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

To all the readers and fans who helped make this project a huge success: My deepest gratitude. Thanks to you all, we are now being Watched By: 1900! To you all, for reading and reviewing, for voting and pimping, for reccing and listing! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! *applauds you all *

The totals are in, and have been tallied several times. This means that the Medal Ceremonies will be coming right up, after a personal open letter to my Games Champions. Stay tuned!
