The due date for the 2014 Snarry Mini Games is upon us! We will be accepting (links to works) up to the end of day, November 1, 2014 (any time zone).

Once we have received all the links we will then proceed to make the Snarry Games Polls, which will be here in Livejournal, but linked to all of our other journals.

Hello friends of Snarry, I hope this weekend finds you all well and happily entertaining bunnies for the mini Games for November 1st!

I've been asked by a few folks in the last week about the following:

a) Duo/pair collaborations are allowed

and

b) Maximum Two (2) entries allowed per participant (person or duo/collaborators)


COLLABORATIONS: In past games, we have allowed the sign up of pair collaborators, and are doing the same this Games. All this means is: we accept single entries from collaborative pairs, whether artist/writer, writer/writer, or artist/artist.

MAXIMUM ENTRIES: Two entries maximum per participant means: If you do a collaboration, as above, you can submit two entries together.

Or you can submit one entry as half a pair, and one entry as a sole participant.

You cannot submit more than two entries for the Snarry Mini Games, in total, regardless of chosen category(s).

Details about the 2014 Mini Games will be outlined September 13th at the Snarry Games community (and cross-posted).

The Snarry Games will be a little different this time around, but there will still be voting and medals! You may be surprised at the format we've chosen to do, but it is inclusive of many types of fanworks, and should be awesome and easy-going fun!

We would like to invite you to join us for this event, which will run concurrently with many others via the Harry Potter Livejournal Reunion, which is a general community to organize the Harry Potter Fandom reunion, and all ships, no-ships and all HP fandom remembrances welcome!

The culmination of these reunion events will be spotlighted from November 1 to November 15, 2014, which is when posting and voting will commence for these Games.

The Snarry Games would love to be a driving force in the Harry potter reunion, to show that the spirit of Snarry still runs deep and strong! Please consider joining us to celebrate the past, in the community spirit and fun that made livejournal and Harry Potter fandom so memorable.

But whether you join us for the Snarry Games as a participant, watcher, to help as a mod/volunteer, or just join the gang to hang out and see some old friends over at HP Reunion to celebrate the amazing phenomenon that was the Harry Potter livejournal community, we look forward to seeing you.

We certainly hope that all of you reading this will remember the Snarry Games the way we will: with great fondness, as a tribute to what is truly the best and most diverse group of fen in the Harry Potter world. We encourage all of you to participate in the many fests that are currently available in the fandom, whether Snarry or not, and we hope that you will find many ways to inspire you once we are gone.

Since 2006, we have been blessed to feature the fiction and art shared with us by some of the most talented people this fandom can offer, and we can’t begin to express our gratitude for the work that they have produced for all to enjoy.

Today we recognize the hard-won achievement and dedication of both authors and artists and their teams who strive for excellence in fanworks and Snarry. I know that every Champion worked hard for the good of their team and they all deserve highest marks for their efforts. We were all lucky to have won something during these Games. We designed this year's Games to encourage boldness, to try new things and set new standards, and we feel that all the Champions answered the bell admirably.

However, in the competition we set out to do, the Snarry Games Judges (you, the readers) have voted to score these teams, both having shown up to these Games with the most stellar of performances, allowing one to edge out the other for Gold.

Dear Friends of Snarry:



This was an amazing year, with a new "mixed art and fic" format, and our largest ever. It once again showed that the most talented people are still within the Snarry fandom. We had 50 truly exquisite pieces of art plus 50 excellent stories, and as always – fantastic and entertaining Opening and Closing Games ceremonies!

Also, many Champions, past and present, helped this round of the Games with pimping and reccing, and commenting. Our hope always has been to help facilitate a sense of community in this fandom, hoping to keep the SS Snarry sailing through calm waters. When we see how fantastically supportive the champions are, whether author or artist, it makes all our hard work worth every minute spent. Thank you, all!

The 2009 Mixed Fic and Art snarry_games are nearly over!

Yesterday we posted the last of a Grand Total of 100 entries! We are always pleased and awed by the overwhelming response and support of this project, and would like to thank everyone who has been involved. The Champions, the mods, the volunteers, the voters and judges, the reviewers and reporters, the affiliates. Thank you all!

We now move into our final voting phase. We will be giving everyone until Sunday, September 27 to finish their voting. The polls will remain open* until that time, and then will be closed to allow the Mods to begin the counting process.

*You can also take this time to edit your votes, if necessary. It is easy to edit your poll: you can change your answer by clicking on the poll #, and then clicking the [ Fill-out Poll ] link at the top. Don't forget to click on "submit poll" to save your answers after you've changed them.

Here you will find the Master List of all the submissions to help guide you to the entries that you may have missed during these 50 days of posting!
