RPG rating system
=D A re-post from rp_tutorials, sort of.
Forum RPGs and self-hosted RPs often rely on the RPG Rating System in preference over the MPAA ratings. MPAA ratings can be subjective, and differs from one film to another; or in this case, RPs. Take into account different requirements for different countries, which usually makes it difficult to understand exactly what is allowed in the game.
A role-play's content is divided into Language, Sexual Content, and Violence, ranked from green 0 to bright orange 3. 0 translates to 'squeaky clean' content; 3 is basically free-for-all, no limitations. You choose a rating for each category, and the site generates a mini banner for you to display wherever you like.
