Community Rules

This comm is open to anyone to post codes, layouts, resources, tutorials, and requests for help and content. Of course, we do have some rules, so please read through them before jumping in; thank you!

Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. This is not a drama comm, and we expect you guys to be awesome and stay civil. If a situation gets out of hand, please contact a mod, and leave comments intact so we can accurately handle the situation.

Please tag your posts and check out the tagging guide if you have any questions!

■ Very long posts or posts formatted with your own div styling for organization should be behind a cut to save people's f-lists.

Work safe above the cut, please!

■ If posting codes, guides, etc. absolutely do not post content that you did not make. That's stealing, and it's super uncool, bro! If you are posting expanded/edited codes made by yourself using another user's coding as well, please be sure you have their permission (You do not need direct permission if they allow edits to be re-posted in their blanket rules.)
■ Do not post tutorials/links to tutorials that show people how to steal codes from other users. Again: Stealing. Not cool.
When asking for help with something, please check the help tags (help: coding, help: graphics, help: icons, help: layouts, help: other) first to see if your question has already been posted and answered to avoid duplicates.

We do not allow game ads to be posted on this comm since there are so many communities specifically for that already; if you're pimping a game as an addition to a regular post, that's fine. (OK: You post an RP code and mention in the post, oh hey, also I'm running this game! NOT OK: Posts dedicated to game promo.)

We do allow other types of community promos if they are related to RP (icon comms, other types of resource comms, etc.) Just shoot us a comment in our dropbox beforehand and we'll let you know if it's cool to post!

INTEREST CHECK: CODE CHALLENGES
Do code challenges sound fun? Yes? Awesome; tell us more! No? That's okay; we'd like to have your opinion, too! Comment below and let us know. If you don't think this is something that interests you don't worry about the following questions; you can just tell us no (or elaborate on why not if you'd like to.) If you are interested in this community feature, please answer all of the following:

■ Are you interested in coding or spectating?

■ Should this event be bi-weekly or monthly?

■ Should this event be just for fun or open to member voting?

■ Would you prefer to see entries posted anonymously or with coders' names?

■ Should this event cover codes and layouts or RP codes only?

I would be more than happy to spectate! I can't code.

Are you interested in coding or spectating?
→ Coding
Should this event be bi-weekly or monthly?
→ Monthly
Should this event be just for fun or open to member voting?
→ Both. To elaborate, I think it should be mostly for fun, but throw in a voting challenge every now and then to allow more community involvement. Perhaps every other month? Or every three?
Would you prefer to see entries posted anonymously or with coders' names?
→ With names.
Should this event cover codes and layouts or RP codes only?
→ Both.

I'm personally not interested in coding challenges, but I wouldn't mind seeing the cool results! Well so long as it doesn't sort of take over the comm. :)

■ Are you interested in coding or spectating? : Spectating, overall.

■ Should this event be bi-weekly or monthly? : Honestly, I think monthly. Bi-weekly might seem a little bit too much for people.

■ Should this event be just for fun or open to member voting? : Either.

■ Would you prefer to see entries posted anonymously or with coders' names? : Anonymously if it's open to voting; with names if it's just for fun.

■ Should this event cover codes and layouts or RP codes only? : Both.

+ Coding!
+ Monthly!
+ Just for fun!
+ With names!
+ Selfishly, RP codes only, because as of yet I can't write journal layouts (...where does one find a base layout to code is the question) but I would love to see other people do them, so both!

~ Codes and layouts

I'd be a spectator, but this is sounds great.

Monthly would be better I think, so as it doesn't take up like all of the coders time and so that you guys can keep churning out other stuff. Probably just for fun and with coders names. And either or really on what you did.

Well, considering most of my own coding is in a K.I.S.S. format... because both myself and others have trouble tweaking fancy css and such when doing cast updates after a long day of work, my results might not be as appealing to some.. But...

■ Are you interested in coding or spectating? --coding as time allows, I'm such a busy bee

■ Should this event be bi-weekly or monthly? --monthly, for the above reason

■ Should this event be just for fun or open to member voting? --It would depend on what is being voted on, I guess. If it's just for ranking, then there's not really a point and might put unnecessary pressure on someone who doesn't do all sorts of crazy CSS but has a wonderfully efficient html table for others ot use and tweak, putting them off of participating.

■ Would you prefer to see entries posted anonymously or with coders' names? --with names, I like credit and like to credit others

■ Should this event cover codes and layouts or RP codes only? --I'd like to see both, but I have neither the patience or the skill to do actual journal layouts
