Community Rules

This comm is open to anyone to post codes, layouts, resources, tutorials, and requests for help and content. Of course, we do have some rules, so please read through them before jumping in; thank you!

Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. This is not a drama comm, and we expect you guys to be awesome and stay civil. If a situation gets out of hand, please contact a mod, and leave comments intact so we can accurately handle the situation.

Please tag your posts and check out the tagging guide if you have any questions!

■ Very long posts or posts formatted with your own div styling for organization should be behind a cut to save people's f-lists.

Work safe above the cut, please!

■ If posting codes, guides, etc. absolutely do not post content that you did not make. That's stealing, and it's super uncool, bro! If you are posting expanded/edited codes made by yourself using another user's coding as well, please be sure you have their permission (You do not need direct permission if they allow edits to be re-posted in their blanket rules.)
■ Do not post tutorials/links to tutorials that show people how to steal codes from other users. Again: Stealing. Not cool.
When asking for help with something, please check the help tags (help: coding, help: graphics, help: icons, help: layouts, help: other) first to see if your question has already been posted and answered to avoid duplicates.

We do not allow game ads to be posted on this comm since there are so many communities specifically for that already; if you're pimping a game as an addition to a regular post, that's fine. (OK: You post an RP code and mention in the post, oh hey, also I'm running this game! NOT OK: Posts dedicated to game promo.)

We do allow other types of community promos if they are related to RP (icon comms, other types of resource comms, etc.) Just shoot us a comment in our dropbox beforehand and we'll let you know if it's cool to post!

Hoping someone can help me here: I've been trucking along using BlueMail to reply to comments from within a client on my Android for ages. However, over the last couple of days, it's gone a bit weird on me - it no longer lets me use predictive text, the backspace button has to be hammered a bunch to delete anything and, most annoyingly of all, the Send button no longer works.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any alternatives for Android? I tried VM Box earlier, but it won't seem to let me log in, even.

I'm not sure if you've tried this yet, but definitely make sure to give rebooting the device a shot if you haven't. More often than not, a reboot will fix weird issues like these in Android.

Other than that, has your keyboard app or BlueMail updated recently? What about your phone's firmware? If any of those have updated in the past couple days - especially before this happened - there's a chance they're no longer compatible with each other. If not, then there's hope that this is just a cache issue or something of that sort.

Try force closing BlueMail and deleting its cache (not its data, just the cache) - you'll likely lose any preloaded emails and have to download them again, so make sure you do this when you have access to the internet or when you don't care that you can't view emails offline for a bit.

Unfortunately, since I don't use BlueMail myself, that's the best advice I've got as a fellow Android user.

Thanks so much for this! Unfortunately, it wasn't the kick up the arse the app needed, but it was definitely worth a punt. May I ask: do you use an alternative app to reply from email notifs/have any recommendationw for an alternative?

You may want to try the same arse kicking for your keyboard app, but you'd potentially lose the contents of your clipboard and other such things.

Unfortunately, I don't reply by email because I just got used to the feature never working. The apps I use don't seem to work with it, but you may want to try K9 mail just to see if it works. The version I use is several years out of date, so it's possible the latest incarnation lets you reply by email. (But be warned the app has far too many settings and takes a small eternity to set up.)

re alternatives: i'm on iphone, but JUST IN CASE this works— i used vm box for a while before notif-replying stopped working for me, soooo now i use the outlook app for replying to comments from within motifs.

See the thread below - MailDroid worked once I changed a setting in it! Settings > Message Screen > Always load web resources.

Thanks for the tip! Did it work fresh out the box or did you have to fiddle with the settings?
