Redux: An AU Harry Potter RPG

How far would you go to make things right?
Redux is an game where Aberforth Dumbledore went back in time to change everything. Neville Longbottom is the Boy Who Lived. The Potters lived. The Longbottoms were never tortured. Lord Voldemort never came back. It is now 2002 and the wizarding world has had twenty years of peace, but time has a funny way of correcting itself.

Hey Guys,

I don’t know if this is going to come as a surprise or a shock to anyone, but I need to take a step back from the game. As much as I love all of you and the characters, things are not getting done like they should be in a timely manner. Right now I don’t know if this means a short-term hiatus from the game or outright leaving. At the very least I will likely cut back on characters, dropping Percy and Katie.

So what does this mean for Redux? I have already had offers from from Meg and Erin M. to step up and take over the vast majority of modly duties. I will still be around to advise as needed and to help out with coding if something should go wrong, but I no longer will be the first point of contact.

I’m sorry. You guys deserve much more, but I am unable to do what needs to be done and that’s unfair to the lot of you.

Comments to this post are screened if you would like to leave one, but my office is always open through email or aim. No smoke signals though. I'm crap at reading them.

Lis

Hi all,

In a similar vein to Lis’ post, I’m going to take a bit of a step back from Redux. I’ve been a crap mod, and I want to apologise to all of you for that. I don’t want to drop this game and I don’t want to see it die but I’ve just got too much going on to give it the attention it deserves.

I’m going to cut back my characters - I’ll be keeping Remus, Charlie, and Pansy, but dropping Asher and Cho. Once I’ve got my activity back on track for fewer characters, then I can think about bringing others back in.

I’m happy to stay on to support Meg and Erin M to take over the responsibility of the game if necessary, but let’s face it, Lis has been doing the lion’s share of modly duties from the beginning.

As with Lis’, comments to this post are screened, and I’m always reachable on aim, gchat, or via email.

I just want to say, once again, how brilliant you all are. Redux is a fantastic game, and any failure is down to me and Lis, not to you guys. You’re all fantastic.
