Redux: an AU Harry Potter RPG

Hi all! Heather here with two chars to introduce.

This guy is Barry Ryan. He's nearly 34, he's a Slytherin from the same year as Francis Troy (86), and he was Slytherin Quidditch Captain for three years. He went straight to Kenmare after Hogwarts, and became starting Keeper after two years. He's been Captain there since 1998. This is his fourth World Cup because he is an Old, despite his known reputation for dramatics and flair on the pitch. More reasons he is an Old? Well, he became a father at 20, just before his first World Cup, with his second daughter being born two years later. Aoife is 13 and in Ravenclaw, and Roisin is about to go to Hogwarts this year. He and his partner also have a three month old son named Killian. Apparently, they have a thing for chaos. It'd suit his family background, given the fact he doesn't see his own father and he's as close as possible to being a Muggleborn Slytherin without being fully Muggleborn...

I also have for you Osgar Blishwick (thecoolprof). He is 35 and Senior Undersecretary in the Department of Mysteries. For those who know the department well, he is Head of the Time Room. He comes from a pureblood family with vast wealth due to owning several precious stone and metal mines, meaning they also have an extensive collection of family jewels that are the envy of several other society families. He had an arranged marriage with Belvina Black (Meg, Caitlin, Rachael, we should talk exactly how they're related), but she became ill and died while heavily pregnant with their son less than a year after the wedding. Essentially, he's been an emotional hermit since then, but ostensibly he has a dry, biting wit and is known for his sense of humour and severe intellect. He really isn't one to piss off in Ministry cabinet meetings, in short! Not public knowledge is that he is a fox animagus, and that his family's ward, Gawain (to whom he is a father figure) is actually his nephew.

Hello everyone! Last intro for a little bit. Lis here with #4 (again?), Galinda Blishwick, younger sister to Osgar, freelance illustrator, and shopgirl at Madam Malkin's. Oh yeah, she's also a werewolf, but that's a closely guarded secret. As is the fact that she's a mother, though close friends might be aware of this fact. She has also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, yet another one of her secrets. She's probably a bit paranoid, but she justifies this with the fact that if people learned the truth she would be shunned and forced to rely solely on her parents for the rest of her life, which is just another set of chains. No thank you. (She has a bit of a dramatic side.)

Galinda is as bright and loud as her hair color and tattoos suggest, but that's often a way to distract people from everything else. She never did particularly well in school (Hufflepuff, 1986-1993), but masked as many struggles as she could. She's never been fond of reading, but listens to the WNN religiously and can be a bit of a news junkie that way. She's somewhat recently become obsessed with to-do lists as a way to keep herself motivated and organized.

I would love all sorts of connections for her. People she used to be friends with (she had a tendency to burn bridges at the most inopportune times). People who still like her despite everything. People she's stepped out with for funsies.

Hi everyone, Julie here with her fourth character, Mary-Anne Prewett. Mary is almost 20yo and was a Hufflepuff who was at Hogwarts in the same year as Celia, Lucas and Prim - so she'll be more familiar with the younger Hogwarts crowd; though if you're friends with a Weasley she'll probably know you or know of you pretty well.

• she enjoys knitting. unless someone has asked for a specific gift, nearly all the birthday or Christmas presents she gives are of a knitted variety.
• despite a rough time a muggle primary school she did develop a love for the piano and considers it the one good thing about her time spent there.
• as for work - during the day she works @ Darn It All (a store in Godric's Hollow for all your knitting needs) and works nights playing piano @ The Mountain View Inn.
• she's never ever dated
• probably hasn't ever kissed anyone either for that matter - but if you want your character to have had that awkward (or not-so-awkward) first kiss, let me know.
